Chapter Two

Bryan's heart nearly stopped. “Bryan? Hello... I said I'd meet them- your family.” Bryan blinked back into reality and looked up at Allen who stood several inches taller than his own stature.

“No, you see my parents don't approve of what we are.” He protested.

“Ohhhhh.” Allen sighed. “Well, my mom's cool with it. Can you meet her at least?”

Bryan calmed down with relief. “Sure.” He gave Allen a peck on the cheek.

The bell rang loudly even from the school's front steps. Allen took Bryan's hand as they entered the school.

Kristy was back at school. The day was clear of clouds and bright. The day was opposite of her mood. She didn't want to talk to anyone. She refused to wave to her friends or make out with her boyfriend before first period. She took baby steps, taking deep breaths to hold on to her composure.

The truth was she wanted to scream again. Only this time louder, so everyone can hear. They'd know she was a slut and laugh at her.

She would take the pain like a grown women she'd like to pretend she is. She would keep her head high and say, “I know I am.” Then continue living her shattered life. She would suffer.

Robert crossed her path. “Hey, babe.” He tried to hug her but she moved away. “What's wrong? You didn't answer any of my texts. Are you avoiding me?”

Kristy sighed and could feel the tears coming back. She opened her mouth to speak, but nothing came out. Instead, she put her hand on her stomach and attempted to look in his eyes. Robert understood right away. So he turned and kept on walking.

The sobs started before Kristy could even fully make her way to the bathroom stall.

“Ohmahgawd, Allen!” Bryan giggled. “You nearly got me in trouble!: He smiled.

“That is discrimination! I am going to complain. I saw that girl, Kara suck some guy's face off in the middle of bio! No one said anything. The principal sees two guys holding hands and it's like we raped a teacher! I hate this school.” Allen complained.

Bryan sighed. He had been thinking about his parents most of the day. Allen and him were Facebook official and his parent's didn't even know he was gay. How the hell could he ever tell them?

“Allen? How will I tell my parents?” He asked quietly.

Allen shrugged sadly. “When I knew, I just came out right away to my mom. She's open minded, though.”

Bryan bit his lip. “I need to tell them. Someday. Somehow.”

Allen put his hand on Bryan's shoulder. “Don't worry about it now. The sun is shinning and the birds are singing. Just live for the moment now. Think about at least after I kiss you.”

The kiss started slow then became greedy and fast. Their kiss continued while they stood under the tree in the courtyard. Like everyday, the bell rang to end their time together in school.

Kristy was ready to tell her friends, but then again they'd spread it around school. So she sat in her usual seat, staying quiet. She had noticed Robert sitting somewhere else. She hated him, Kristy realized.

“Ohmyfuckin'god!” Val thew her hands up dramatically. “That hot guy, Allen is like gay! I so saw him holding a guy's hand.”

“I pray he's bi or confused. He is too hot to be just for guys. Like, damn!” Victoria Lee, Kristy's best friend commented.
