Chapter 21

I held my breath as my teacher handed out our tests. It was our mid term in history. I hated history with all my might, but it still counted towards my average. I was looking at colleges and I hadn't found many. My teacher looked at me then at my test as she handed it to me smiling.

"Good job. Just study harder next time." She said handing it to me. I looked at it then sighed. On the top in green pen were the numbers 95. An A. The bell rang and my entire class piled out of class. I went to my locker to get my books for my next class when Ryan walked up.

"Hey babe." He said wrapping his arms around my waist. I put in my books as I faced him.

"Hey Ry." I said putting my arms around his neck pecking his lips. "You off to class?" I asked as he let go of me so I could get my books.

"No. I have a free period." He said as j slammed my locker shut. "You want to hang?" He asked.

"Ry. You know I have my mid term in pre-cal today. I can't." I frowned. "But my fifth and sixth are free." I said. He smiled.

  "My sixth is free. See you then." He said smiling as he kissed me. The bell rang as I kissed his cheek one more time before running to pre-cal. I took my seat and Jade sat next to me.

  "How's you and Ry?" She asked putting her backpack down.

  "Good. We both have a free period sixth so we're meeting up and going to do something." I said getting out my pencil. Jade stared at me quizzically.

  "He doesn't have a free period sixth. We have a reading mid term." She said.

  "He told me he's free." I said taking out my phone. Just then my teacher came by and held out his hand.

  "Emily Watson. Hand over your phone. It is now confiscated until further notice." He said glaring at me.

  "Yes sir Mr. Ledbetter." I mumbled handing him my phone. He smiled as he walked away.

  "God I hate Mr. Ledbetter." I moaned.

  "Me too." Jade agreed as he explained the rules. He passed out our test and I finished in twenty minutes. I walked to his desk and handed him my papers.

  "Emily. Here's your phone. Ry has been texting you." He said smirking at me.

  Oh no. I hope he didn't read my texts.

  "Uh. Thanks. I guess." I said. He nodded as I grabbed my phone and went back to my seat.

Em. Turns out I'm not free sixth. I have nothing in fifth, so I can skip.

Em?? Are you alright? Am I going to have to kick someone's ass?

Emily. Respond please.

What did I do wrong??

  Wow. He doesn't give up.

  Ryan's POV

  I watched her run off to class as I turned on my heels to go get coffee. I checked my schedule, to realize, I wasn't free sixth! I took out my phone and texted Emily.

    Emmy;)
Em. Turns out I'm not free sixth. I have nothing in fifth, so I can skip.

  Emmy;)
Em?? Are you alright? Am I going to have to kick someone's ass?

  Emmy;)
Emily. Respond please.

  Emmy;)

I slumped back in my chair worried I did something wrong. What could I have done? Then she responded.

  Emmy;)
Ry. You did nothing. Mr. Ledbetter took my phone. Sorry.

  Emmy;)
Oh! And it's fine. I'll just hang with Myr. She's free sixth. No. Don't skip fifth. Not just for me. It's not worth it. Just go to fifth. You may have a pop quiz or something.

  Emily's POV

  I quickly responded to him.

Ry. You did nothing. Mr. Ledbetter took my phone. Sorry.

Oh! And it's fine. I'll just hand with Myr. She's free sixth. No. Don't skip fifth. Not just for me. It's not worth it. Just go to fifth. You may have a pop quiz or something.

  He responded to those with:

No! Emmy! You are certainly worth skipping class! Especially science. God science is boring. But, if you don't want me to skip, I won't skip.

  "He's such a good boyfriend." Jade whispered. She must have been reading my texts over my shoulder.

  "Jade! Really?" I whisper yelled at her.

  "Sorry. But I may have a slight crush on Ry." She said blushing. I smiled and nodded.

  "Don't worry about it. He's very likable." I shrugged.

  "Yep. And cute." She said grinning. I giggled at her interest in my boyfriend. Then the bell rang.

  A/N. Nothing to exciting this part. I just wanted something to do with school. Since they are having mid terms his means winter break is coming!! Can't wait to write that scene!! Christmas!!! Yay!!!
