CHAPTER 8 GOTCHA!

On my way up from the CR, I wanted to just look straight and not look around... especially when I pass by Samotny's room. That was the plan. But something unexpected happened....again.

I was just going to pass by when I heard someone say, "Ayan may dumaan na!" Of course my initial reaction was to look. So my plan failed, I still ended up looking at Samotny's classroom.

Wait. Are they all looking at me? Weird. I just continued to walk away to make it seem like I didn't care.

Then I heard her calling me. Uh Oh.... That's the first time I heard her call my name. There's....there's something sweet about it.

I turned around to face her.

"Uhm......uhm.....kasi...kasi...." There goes her face again, turning red and funny as usual.

"Uhm, kasi.... we were doing the unggoy-bakulaw-chimpanzee energizer..... e ang parusa ko is to bring whoever is the first one to pass by the stair hallway sa classroom namin....tapos....tapos..... ikaw yung dumaan e.... Uhm, can I take you?....hihihihihihihihi............."

"Haha! Ganun ba? Is that it? Sure!"

Huh What?! I said sure right away without even thinking about it? Oh what did I get myself into again? Ok, I probably just don't like to be rude. But I didn't care what other people think before, why bother now?

So I walked with her to her classroom and as soon as we got in front of everyone, they all went crazy and started screaming.

I noticed that even the other class accross the room started looking at us. So did it catch Kokeng's , Andrew's and Yosef's attention who are also in that class. Perfect, just perfect. I'll never hear the end of it.

"Mam, mukhang masyadong madali lang parusa ni Samotny. Unfair para sa iba." Si Aiden ba yun?

"Mam, kelangan may holding hands....holding hands for 5 minutes!" What the heck was Aiden talking about?!

Everyone started chanting Holding hands Holding hands!, even the other class. This is crazy!

I looked at Samotny to see how she's taking this. I wanted to yell at her for getting me into this embarrasing spot. But she didn't force you Rusty! Right. I said yes, and I am now regretting it.

But when I saw her face, she looks just as embarrassed as I am. She probably did not expect this to happen as well. Her face is crimson red. When I looked into her eyes, the unthinkable happened.....

.......I grabbed her hand and held it.

Everyone went ballistic! It's insane!

I'm now back in my class and I couldn't get the scene out of my head. I can't focus!

I have been thinking about the moment I held Samotny's hand.... constantly! Again, that's another first. That's the first time I've held someone's hand and it's with Samotny again. Why do these things keep on happening? And why is it always with her?

Her hand felt somewhat moist and cold but really soft. Was she that nervous? I couldn't help but chuckle a little bit. But it was the weirdest feeling ever. As soon as I held her hand, I felt chills all over my body....almost electrical. Nothing like I've ever felt before. It was like I couldn't breathe for a second and I could feel my heart beating faster.
