“Masey are you sure you have to leave today?” Martha ran over to Mason giving him a huge hug.

Mason rolled his eyes, but hugged her back.  “Sorry Grandma,” he said, “but we all have lacrosse camp starting on Monday and well, we kinda want a day to rest.  Right boys?” Logan and John nodded their heads.

“Thank you so much for having us Mr. and Mrs. Sanders.” Logan said walking over to them.

“Oh come here Logan!” Martha pulled Logan in for a giant hug, and Logan just smiled.  Logan backed away and she walked over to John, “Get over here John!” And John willingly gave her a hug as well.

“Martha, let those boys go.  I’ll help you gentlemen pack up the car.” Harold said, picking up 2 suitcases.  He tried to get down the stairs, but was struggling.

“Here Grandpa, I got it.” Mason said, taking one suitcase from him.  The boys walked to the car and started to put their luggage in the trunk of Mason’s jeep.

John wheeled out the last suitcase and as he was bringing it to the car, he looked across the street and saw that the girls were also packing up their car.  “Hey guys, you want to go say goodbye?”

            “Yea, let’s go.” Logan said.

“Grandpa we’ll be right back.” Mason said as he and the other boys headed across the street.

The girls had brought all of their luggage out to the driveway.  “You guys go look through the house one last time to make sure we didn’t leave anything,” Kaitlin said, “I’ll start loading.”  Tara and Lauren nodded and ran into the house together.

As the boys walked up the driveway, John noticed Kaitlin was struggling putting some of the suitcases into the trunk.  He walked up behind her and said, “Here, allow me.”  He took the suitcase from Kaitlin and flashed a smile.

“Just go.” Kaitlin said, rolling her eyes.  She walked to the driver’s seat and slammed the car door, causing the boys to give each other weird, confused looks.

Tara and Lauren came running out of the house and stopped right before the boys.  “John, you should probably go.” Tara said.

“But why? What did I do?” John asked.  Tara and Lauren rolled their eyes and continued to pack the car.

The boys helped the girls pack up in silence, while Kaitlin still sat in the car, avoiding John.  Lauren closed the trunk and Mason came up behind her.

He took her hand and lead her away from the car.  He pulled her in for a hug, wrapping his arms around her waist, and Lauren put her arms around his neck.  “I’ll see you in the fall.” Mason whispered into her ear, which caused Lauren to smile.

“Yea, I’ll see you in the fall.” Lauren smiled, kissing Mason on the cheek.  She let go of Mason’s hand and got in the car.  Out the window, she spotted Tara and Logan talking behind the car.

“Tara?” Logan asked with his head to the ground.

            “Yea?”

“I’ve been waiting these past couple of days to tell you that I have feelings for you Tara.  Like, actual feelings that I’ve never felt towards anyone before.  You’re the first girl that I’ve been able to be myself around and you’re absolutely perfect.  I don’t want to be with anyone else but you.”  He looked up at Tara, who was smiling, but he could tell by the look in her eyes that something wasn’t right.

            “Logan, I-“

“Tara, we’re leaving. Get in” Kaitlin said, rolling down the window.

“I just don’t think this is going to work.” Tears were coming down her face, as she handed Logan the Superman snapback.  She got in the car, leaving Logan on the driveway, stunned.
