Everyone splashed around in the water for about a couple of hours and they all shared a lot laughs.  “Guys,” Kaitlin said, “I hate to break up the fun and all, but this girl is getting hungry!”

“Agreed.” Tara and Lauren said in unison.  Everyone swam back to the boat and one by one, they climbed up the latter and got back onboard.

“So, what’s for lunch?” Tara asked.

“You’re very own gourmet, SANDWICHES!” John said.  The girls laughed.  They headed over to the cooler and grabbed a sandwich.  After they all had picked one, they all sat in a circle around the cooler.

The talking consisted mainly of plans for the future, college to be specific, which kind of brought in the perspective that the girls’ trip was almost over.

“But, you girls can’t leave.” Logan said, putting his arm around Tara.

“Trust us, if we could stay, we would!” Lauren said, resting her head on Mason’s shoulder.

“This has been one of the best weeks of my life!” Kaitlin said, looking at John, who had sad eyes.

While everyone was realizing that the trip was almost over, some commotion was happening on the back of the boat.  “Well, well, well.  Look what we have here.” Someone said in a vaguely familiar voice.  They all turned around to see Marc, Adam, and Shane, standing in a line with their arms crossed over their exposed chests.

“How did you guys even get on here?” John asked, stepping away from the crowd.

“You see, John, that’s your name right?” John nodded, “Alright, John, that’s classified information.” Marc said.

“Uh, yea! What he said!” Adam said.

“What are you guys talking about? Just tell them we climbed up the latter!” Shane exclaimed.  Marc and Adam turned around and shoved Shane back into the water.

“Ok good for you! You can climb a latter onto a stranger’s boat.  But seriously, what are you dicks doing here?” Mason said.

“The same thing you are.  Going for a “romantic” boat ride with our new friends.” Marc said, pointing to the boat behind him.  On the boat were the 2 other boys and the bottle blondes.

“Seriously?  Are they the only girls that would go for you now that we’re gone?” Lauren said to Marc.

“Shut the hell up bitch!” Adam said, which made Mason lose it.

“What did you just say to her?” Mason said, getting really close to Adam’s face.

“I said, “Shut the hell up bitch”.”

“That’s it.” Mason lunged forward, tackling Adam to the ground.  They were rolling around punching each other.

“Mason! Mason stop!” Lauren said running over and pulling Mason off of Adam.  She pulled him away and Adam ran and dove into the water.  Lauren looked at Mason, his nose was bleeding.  “Oh my god are you ok! Your nose, it’s..”

“Don’t worry.  I’m fine.  Are you ok?” Mason asked.

“I’m fine, Now let’s get you fixed up.”  Lauren said as she pulled Mason to the other end of the boat.

“And then there was one.” John said.

“Seriously dude, just leave.” Logan said.

“Not until I get what I came here for in the first place.” Marc said, with an evil smirk on his face.

“And what would that be?” Kaitlin said from behind John.

“Her.” Marc said pointing at Tara.

Logan instantly got protective and said, “There’s no way.”

“Oh really?” Marc said and all of a sudden he ran toward Tara.  Logan and the other boys tried to stop him, but he was too fast for them.  He threw Tara over his shoulder and jumped into the water, Tara screaming the entire time.

John looked at Logan, who was furious.  John had never seen Logan angry before, so this was a shock.  “Dude, you’re not going to just stand there are you?”

“Fuck no.” Logan said as he ripped off his shirt, revealing his tan, toned body.  He dove into the water and started swimming after Marc.

The closer Logan got to Marc, the more he could hear Tara screaming at him.  “Let me go!” she was saying, but whenever she would say something, Marc would put her head underwater to get her to be quiet.  Logan swam as hard as he could.  He had never been like this before, but he knew the reason for it.  It was Tara.  He suddenly felt like he was responsible for anything that happened to her.  He wanted to keep her safe, which made him swim even faster.  He was able to catch up to Marc and when he did he said, “Marc, let her go now.”

“Oh look Tara.  You’re knight in shining board shorts has come to save you.”

“Logan! Help me please!” Actual tears were coming down Tara’s face.

“I’m going to ask you one more time. Let. Tara. Go.” Logan was getting serious now.

“Why don’t you make me?” Marc said.  That was the last straw.  Logan swam behind Marc and grabbed onto his neck.  Marc immediately let go of Tara in order to get Logan’s strong arms off of his neck.

“Tara, go!” Logan screamed, as he let go of Marc.

“Logan look out!” Tara squealed as Marc jumped on top of Logan pushing him underwater.  Logan was struggling to get some air, but Marc kept pushing him further down into the depth of the ocean.  The more he struggled, the more Marc fought back.  Logan formed a fist and jammed it into Marc’s stomach, causing him to gasp with pain.  Logan came up, gasping for air.  “Logan!” Tara said, swimming over to him and giving him a giant hug.

“C’mon, let’s get out of here.” Logan said, as he and Tara swam fast toward the boat.
