"Mads!"

I turned my back to see who was calling me. It was Denice. "Hey."

"Where you going?"

"Err. Blue eagles gym."

She smiled. "Great! I'll come with you!"

My forehead creased. "And why?"

"Wala lang. I'm so bored eh."

"Mabobore ka lang din doon."

"Nope."

"Tsaka manggugulo."

"Nooo. I promise not to make fun of you."

I sighed. "Kulit mo."

"Sungit mo."

I shook my head. Sumabay naman sa paglalakad si Denice. She was smiling sa lahat ng nakakasalubong namin.

"Are you running for student council?" I asked her.

"What?"

"You're smiling kasi to everyone."

She snorted. "That's what you called friendly, Mads."

Ngumiwi ako. "Whatever, Nice."

She laughed. Sabay kaming pumasok sa BEG, bigla naman siyang huminto na akala mo di kami kasya sa entrance.

"Why?" I asked her.

"Do you think they'll like me?"

I looked at her. "Of course."

"Are you sure?" She looked at me. "Diba Therese auditioned too?"

"And?" She looked away. "You auditioned too, Nice. They understand naman. Trust me, they'll like you."

I saw her smile kaya hinila ko na siya. Pagdating naman doon ay halos nandoon na lahat. Coaching staffs nalang ang kulang.

"Look who's here." Panimula ni Mich nang nakita kami. Nagtago naman kaagad si Denice sa likuran ko.

"Oo nga. Look who's here." Segunda ni Ana.

"I told you, they won't like me.." Denice whispered.

"Guys, stop scaring Denice." Jia said.

"She knew who I am?" Denice asked with a low voice.

I chuckled. "Ofcourse, they do."

"WELCOME NEW COURTSIDE REPORTER!!!" They said in unison.

Denice was shocked when she saw how they welcomed her. I laughed.

"See? Trust me lang kasi." I beamed at her.

She backhugged me. "You should have told me na kilala na nila ako."

"Hey, are you crying?" I was trying to move pero hinigpitan niya lalo yakap niya. "H-hoy! Don't cry!"

Nagsilapitan naman mga kateammates ko.

"Hey. Did we scared you?" Jamie asked. "We're sorry."

Hindi pa rin siya humihiwalay sakin. I looked like a mother. Gosh.

Tumikhim naman si Bea. "Okay, Denice. You might want to hug us rin?"

Nagtawanan naman mga kasama namin. Denice let go of me and she faced my teammates.

"Don't be scared na." Jules said. "We're a team now."

I smiled. Inakbayan ko si Denice. "Welcome, Nice."
