"MADDIE!" Trey shouted as soon as she saw me.

"Gosh, Trey. No need to shout." I lazily said.

"Why so lazy?"

"Damn, practice."

She laughs. "Cool it down, Mads."

"Wow, coming from you ha?" I retorted.

"I missed being with you." She sincerely said.

"Then, come back." I said. "Everyone's misses you too."

"You know I can't."

"You can. You just don't want to."

"Mads.."

"There's always a hidden line with the word can't."

"Mads, you know naman the reason di ba?"

I sighed. "Rex isn't your world. We are a team, we are batchmates, remember? And batchmates don't leave each other."

"He was." She said. "I never left, Mads. I maybe out of the team but, yeah. I'll comeback stronger."

I smiled. "Come.."

"Where?"

"BEG."

"MADDIEEEE!!!!"

I laughed. "Kidding. I better get going."

She looked at her watch. "You definitely should go."

I shook my head and left her. In a span of a year, ang dami ng nangyari. I got an ACL, that's worst! The super seniors graduated, Trey didn't play her junior year but Kat's, Mich's and Ana's comeback is a bomb!

"Boo!" Napahawak ako bigla sa dibdib ko. "Wow, acting like you have boobs, eh?"

"JULIAAAAAAA!!!!" I shouted. "I do have boobs. They are just shy."

She laughs. "You don't have."

"You don't have boobs too. So shut up ka nalang."

She laughs again. "Cute mo, Mads."

I hit her arms. "Bola."

She laughs and sabay na kaming pumunta ng BEG. Julia became my confidante when I got injured. She always stay whenever I need her. She always know where I was.

"Mads?"

"Hmm?"

"How's you and Bea?"

"Ay, grabe? We're fine naman eh."

"Alam mo, sa lahat ng magkakabatch, kayo lang ni Bea yung hindi ko nakikitang clingy." She said. "Look at Jamie and Kim."

I smiled at her. "May mga bagay na mas mabuting hindi nalang nalalaman."

"Oo, kaya ka nga nasasaktan."

My forehead creased. "What do you mean?"

"Come on, Mads. Ako pa ba hindi makakahalata?"

"What?"

"Mads, you know how much I adore you. Alam ko kapag may nagkakagusto sayo."

"Tapos?"

"Do you really want me to tell you what I mean?"

"Oo na. Grabe ka naman."

"Close naman kayo dati 'di ba?"

"Uh-uh."

"Ano nangyari?" I shrugged. "Feeling ko may nafall sa inyo atsaka nang-friendzoned."

"Wala!"

"So, kailangan high pitched talaga?"

I sighed. "Wala nga kasi. Bakit ba ganyan lagi tanong niyo sakin?"

She smiled. "Kasi yun lang naman talaga ang dahilan. May nafall at may nafriendzoned. So, who's who?"

"Wala talaga, as in."

"Mads, lips may lie but the eyes won't."

"So, you're saying na sinungaling ako?"

"Exactly!"

I frowned. "Trust me, Ji. Walang nangyari."

"Weh? Team Balcony nga raw eh."

"Oo na. Sige na." Pagsuko ko sa kakulitan ni Jia.

Pagpasok namin sa BEG nandoon na yung mga batchmates niya tsaka sila Ponggay. As usual, energetic nanaman siya.

"Hi captain! Hi Madzilla!" Ponggay greeted us.

Nagkasaran naman kami kaya pati yung iba nakisali na. We were laughing nung biglang pumasok si Bea... kasama si Jho. They were smiling. My smile fades.

"Akala ko ba okay kayo? What happened to your smile?" Jia asked.

"What? Wala."

She laughs. "Don't me, Madayag."

We looked at Bea who's now tying Jho's hair. Maybe Jia was right. We're not okay. We will never be okay. For everything that has been done?

"Ji, no matter how much I want things to stay the same, life is all about change." I told her. "Sometimes change is for the better."

She looked at me. ".. and sometimes its not."

I smiled. "If you love something or someone, you have to let it go."

"What?"

I shrugged and turned my back.
