"Thank you, m'lady."

He bowed slightly and this time it was Hailey's turn to roll her eyes. She chanted something under her breath and pointed her index finger at the bag. A string of silvery white light wound itself around the bag and lifted it up in the air.

We followed the bag as it made it's way downstairs hovering about a foot above in the air. Upon reaching the living room, we found that everyone were already there just like Mel said.

Aiden handed me a black cloak complete with a hood as I went to stand next to him. I looked at him curiously.

"You'll need it later." Was all he said.

Nana nod her head once at us in approval.

"Let's go."

She led us to the basement. We made our way one behind the other in a single file. Dad was already waiting for us downstairs.

We stood in front of the tapestry which depicted a scenic view of mountains and rivers. I looked around confused.

What exactly are we doing?

"Hailey dear, would you mind doing the rest?"

I leaned closer to Jason and whispered.

"What's going on?"

"Watch. It isn't fun if you know what's happening before it happens."

Jason whispered back and winked. I gave him a look and leaned back straight.

"What did he say?" Kyle whispered from my left.

"Watch. It isn't fun if you know what's happening before it happens." I mimicked.

Jason punched my arm lightly.

"I heard that."

I stuck my tongue out at him. Mel giggled.

"Quit making googly eyes at her." Kyle whispered suddenly, making gagging noises.

"I did not!" Cole replied indignantly though his ears turned pink.

Stella gave us amused looks. Jason nudged my side and nodded towards a displeased looking Nana and even more amused Hailey.

I gave her a grin and shifted my eyes to Aiden. To my surprise, he looked as displeased as Nana was. He kept looking to my right. I followed his eyes and found he was staring at Jason who was busy laughing at Melissa.

When he caught me looking at him, he blinked once and gave me an easy smile seeming to go back to his usual self.

Before we could do anything else, Dad clapped his hands together.

"Alright kids, it's getting late. Let Hailey do her thing."

With a nod, Hailey put her hands infront of her, palms facing forward, toward the tapestry. She muttered a few words that honestly sounded like gibberish but to my surprise, my mind was making sense of the words.

A blast of light shot from her hands and hit the tapestry. Beside me, Kyle let out a low whistle. Cole and I looked with wide eyes. What on earth

With a sizzling sound, the tapestry disappeared slowly, leaving a thin soap film like layer in its wake. My amulet glowed faintly as if sensing the magic.

As the tapestry vanished, a blinding light spread out from it. We shielded our eyes. It lasted a few seconds before dying out.

Hailey dropped her hands down to her side and opened her eyes. She smiled admiring her handiwork.
