Poetry 1: Clear my head

I felt the rain fall as if it were my own loving tears.

As if they were apart of me, rolling down my own cheek.

The rain dropped down to splash on my ears

and down my face to leave a trail on my small physique.

The shower continued to fall, a wild leak

I didn't think it would halt.

A cloud full of mystique.

But then the clouds clear, releasing the sun from it's vault.

Everyone paused to view the display of the sky by default.

I hated the sun, which is not what people expect.

As I looked down the waters as they evaporate from the asphalt

I think about how I love the cold, having my hair flecked

with small diamonds of water, I loved to wear layers to keep me warm.

I couldn't explain my love for the storm.

Words are scattered as my thoughts.

All the strands of logic tangled in knots.

But as the clouds dispersed

I dived into a realization, headfirst,

that my mind was clear

only when my beloved rain was here.
