Footsteps. Loud and clear. Approaching him it seemed. Or at least his direction. The crystal glittered in the sunlight, and he glared at it. Quickly, with one glance, it shattered, the shards scattering across the ground. The footsteps grew louder, and then he heard the shards crunch under the sole of a shoe. A loud crunch. He smirked.

Too easy.

He let out a chuckle, knowing the other couldn't hear him. His eyes quickly turned to them, examining them. They were a male with sun kissed skin and spiked brown hair. They were absolutely beautiful. The perfect candidate.

He moved to stand in front of the glass, placing his palm on it. He knew it would smudge. And that's what he wanted. He wanted them to notice him.

However, their attention seemed to be caught by the broken shards on the floor. He growled impatiently, and he moved his hand upwards and back down again. The bookcase next to them fell over on his command, and they jumped. They were scared, terrified.

Perfect.

He took this opportunity as they returned their gaze to the mirror. He used his breath to make the glass fog. He began writing a message, having to write it backwards so they could read it.

A T A N I H E M I J A H

H A J I M E H I N A T A

He needed their attention for this to work. He was desperate for it. He needed this more than anything.

It was so unfair to live your life like this. Trapped inside these crystal barriers that forbid you from leaving unless you replace your own position with some other unsuspecting victim. Of course it was unfair to the new person being trapped in this crystal prison, but it was the price to pay for his freedom. It was more important than any fool.

Any person who was actually inadequate enough to play in such an old house was simply laughable. The poor sap was just asking for trouble, and he'd gained a one way ticket. His insolence was simply just tragic, especially for himself. What a sad, despicable person...

They even looked boring.

Average.

Pathetic.

It was odd as he watched the boy look around, still looking petrified. It was almost laughable how pathetic he looked as he scrambled to find the source of all the glasses shattering. For the fun of it, he smirked and raised his arm up, shattering another glass quickly, the shards raining everywhere. They scattered all around the male, some even cutting his sun kissed skin. Blood trickled down their arm gently, which caused them to become more paranoid. He chuckled at them lowly.

Their gaze suddenly turned, looking towards the mirror in astonishment. He was sure they'd noticed their name written on the fogged glass. He watched as they slowly walked toward the mirror, stepping close into his range. He smiled, faking his innocence to lure the prey in. "H-Hello?" He could hear them say.

He appeared in the reflection of the mirror which made them jump back in shock. They weren't expecting him, that much he was aware, but he couldn't help internally chuckling at them.

E M P L E H

H E L P M E

Their expression became unsure. They stared at him in uncertainty. He growled in impatience.

S S A L G     N O    D N A H   R U O Y
E C A L P

P L A C E    Y O U R     H A N D     O N
G  L A S S

Was he gullible enough he wondered? Did they maybe have an inkling of a brain in such a boring skull? He did truly wonder, but he was soon shown.

When the male touched the glass, he had sealed his fate. He grabbed the male's wrist quickly, smirking as he jumped out of the mirror, forcing them inside. He took a deep breath sighing as the fresh air hit his lungs. He stretched, his fingers curling into a ball. He looked at his feet, tapping them on the old wooden floor. He chuckled, finally feeling freedom once again from such a curse. "Thank you, Hinata-kun, for being so hopelessly gullible."

He smiled as he watched the brunette in the glass yelling and pounding on the crystal side. He watched as they screamed at him, but their screams were unheard. He walked around the room, looking around. "You'll be there a long time, my dear. Please do make yourself comfortable. Once I switch places with someone I cannot be placed back in the mirror. It's very unfortunate I'm aware, but it's the price you had to pay for my freedom. But I do thank you for giving me everything back."

He saw a wooden bat, and he picked it up carefully. The bat was semi old, it's paint job worn. He felt the smooth feeling of its sanded oak wood and smiled. "I suppose I should rid the world of this curse shouldn't I?" He went back over to the mirror, looking at the male one last time. Their olive eyes scared and hopeless.

Before he swung the bat, shattering the mirror.
