We are slowly but surely murdering Earth
It's a basic fact
And person can see that
Well if open-minded that is
They can watch the forests deteriorate
They can watch the blue sky die
They can hear the oil rigs pumping
They can feel the trees withering
It's sad really that no one pays attention
No one listens to it's cries of help
We take like a small child
It's as if we don't know better
It's as if we don't see the dying Earth we live on
We see the roads we pave
We see the amazing buildings we create
But what we don't see is the earth underneath that's been torn up and demolished.
We don't see the habitats we destroy
We don't watch everything fall
But we watch what we see rise
Buildings get taller
Money stacks get higher
It's all a game that we haven't taught Earth
It's sitting there confused and hurt
It thinks it's done something wrong
For why else would we do harm to it
So it lashes out
Hurricanes, tornadoes, all kinds of death
But the humans get sad at said death
But get happy when the new Skyscraper is built
The Earth asks why it would curse itself
But no one knows the answer
The reason no one knows is simple
No one cares
