5 - Dylan Surprises Me

So one morning Dylan decided to pick me up and take me to his favorite hang out. When we arrived, he got caught up with some of his buds. He walked over to one of his guy friends and said, "Hey, I wanted to introduce you to someone who is very special to me." I walked up just then and asked, "Are you talking about me?" He turned around and held out his arms for a hug, so I ran into his open-armed hug and he said, "Hey guys, this is the special someone that I was talking about, this is my girlfriend. Her name is Kelly." His guy friend looked at him and asked, "How long have you two been dating?" So Dylan answered the question and said, "About 2 or 3 months or so. So not long." He looked at me and said, "I'm going to hang out with my friends some more, if you don't mind." "No, that's fine. I'll just call one of my girlfriends on the phone." "Alright." Then he stole a kiss and went with his buddies. So I decided to call one of my girlfriends, but out of the corner of my eye, I saw Dylan come up behind me, put his arms around me and then he asked, "Kelly, will you please turn around for me?" So I turned around and saw that he was down on one knee and about to ask me a very important question. His friends came walking up behind him and asked, "Dude, what do you think you are doing?" Dylan looked at his friends and shushed them and said, "I'm trying to think." Then he got an idea and said, "Oh! I've got it! I know what I'll do!" So he decided to leave for a second and then I saw him come up behind me and then he asked, "Kelly, will you turn and face me, please?" "Absolutely!" So I turned around and there in front of me was Dylan down on one knee. All I could do was start crying, then I said, "Oh my gosh, you're asking me if I want to marry you." "Yes, you are correct, ma'am." Then he kissed my hand and said, "I love you so much." Then he got up to his feet and kissed me on the forehead. He pulled me close and said, "I can't wait to marry you." I wrapped my arms around my now-fiancee's neck and said, "I can't believe that I'm ENGAGED now!" He picked me up and twirled me around and said, "I love you so much, my love." Then he kissed me on the lips for the first time since we were now engaged. He picked me up and twirled me around in a circle and then decided to call his parents:

PHONE CONVERSATION BETWEEN DYLAN AND HIS PARENTS:

Dylan: Mom, Dad, I'M ENGAGED NOW!

Dylan's Mom: That's great news to hear, sweetheart. I think your dad heard that news also. Honey, did you hear the great news Dylan just announced?

Dylan's Dad: Yes, I did! That's great news, son. So when's the wedding?

Dylan: We haven't set a date for the "big day" yet. But I will let you and Mom know when it is and where it will be happening so that you guys can come and witness this next phase in my life.

Dylan's Mom: Your dad and I WILL BE THERE FOR SURE!

Dylan: Thank you, mom. I love you.

Dylan's Mom: You're very welcome, son. See you when we get there.

After he got off of the phone with his parents, he went over to his fiancee and said, "We have to start planning our wedding." "Yes, I know we do. So where should it be?" "I was thinking the Caribbean. How's that?" "I think that's great. Which country in the Caribbean should it be?" "I was thinking the Bahamas." "That sounds AMAZING! Alright, I'll start booking our reservations. That was a great choice, honey." "Thanks honey." Then I gave him a kiss on the forehead.
