*Lauren's POV*

~a month and a half later~

A book sat perched neatly on my knees as I sat in the lush grass of my backyard, wasting my Saturday away reading. The sun beat down warmly on my pale shoulders, no doubt leaving a little bit of sunburn. A nice breeze was present and the smell of the nearby salty ocean was heavy this beautiful morning. High waisted shorts were the only thing covering my long legs whist a bikini top was the only thing shielding my upper body.

The clouds in the sky moved slowly, drifting between covering the sun and leaving it alone. My parents had gone out to go shopping for a while, Taylor and Chris both went to friends houses, and I was able to finally be alone. With everything that has happened in the past two months, I need a relaxer, plus the alone time gives me a chance to think about what to get Camila for our two month anniversary which in next week and then Christmas which is in two weeks.

I honestly wasn't too sure what to get her, I never once found it hard shopping for her but now that we're dating I feel the need to get something perfect for her because she deserves the very best. I shut my book and laid it on the grass, standing up and running a hand through my dark hair, breathing in the smell of the ocean which I loved so much. Being a Miami native was a beautiful thing, I mean we have beautiful beaches, beautiful people, I love it all.

"LAUREN!" A voice yelled on the other side of my fence and I raised an eyebrow, standing on my tippy toes to see who called my name. When my eyes were finally able to see above the blockade, I saw my lovely girlfriend and couldn't help but smile. She smiled when she saw me and pointed to the locked gate, her eyes begging me to open it up for her. I let out a little giggle and unlocked it rather quickly, and as soon as it was open she rushed in.

She was about to say something but stopped dead in her tracks, staring at me with her mouth slightly agape. I raised and eyebrow and then realized that she was checking me out, not that she hasn't seen me in a bikini top before, but now that we're dating she's allowed to stare in awe. I laughed to myself and looped my fingers in her shorts belt loops and pulled her close, giving her a kiss.

Her hands were on my abdomen and as soon as our lips connected, her staring eyes shut quickly, enjoying the feeling of how close we were.

"What brings you to my house on this beautiful Saturday afternoon?" I asked as we parted

"What, a girl can't want to see her girlfriend?" She asked

"Of course you're allowed to want to see me."

Her nose scrunched up and she wrapped her arms around my waist, resting her head on my chest. "I missed you."

"Aw babe." I said kissing the top of her head, a blush creeping across my face.

"I miss you all the time when we're apart, I did when we were just friends too."

I leaned back a bit and put my hand on her cheek, taking in all her features. She was absolutely stunning, I never actually realized how mature she's become. I remember when I met that little freshman three years ago and it's such an honor to have seen this amazing person grow so much. "How about I go put a shirt on and then me and you can go get some pizza?"

She kissed the palm of my hand and smiled widely. "Okay, but I mean, you don't have to put a shirt on if you don't wanna."

"You perv." I muttered and she smirked as I ran up my porch, throwing on a tight t shirt and then making sure my house was locked up. After everything was checked I walked back over to her and took her hand in mine, leaving my backyard. Within ten minutes of my house we arrived at Mario's Pizzeria, one of my favorite places. I held the door open for Camila and we slid into a nearby booth, ordering our drinks and pizza quickly.

"Remember the first time we came here?" Camila asked, a smile on her lips

I couldn't help but think back to that moment, a smile playing on my lips, a flashback of that day playing in my mind.

I watched as the small freshman tapped nervously on her desk, no doubt wanting her first week of high school to officially be over. She was very interesting, to be honest, I was glad to have come across her that day in the freshman hallway. As the bell rung she stood up quickly, taking her books and hastily moving around kids. I grabbed her arm and she whirled around to face me with confusion clear on her face.

"Sorry, I was um just wondering if you maybe wanted to get some pizza with me. I know this really cool place and I like, I know you're new here and I wanna be your friend." I finally spit out, giving her a crooked smile

A shy smile formed on her face and she nodded. "I'd love to."

I walked with her to her locker and right after that we headed to Mario's pizzeria, there I introduced her to Normani and Ally and she introduced me to Dinah who happened to have already met Mani and Ally. After about an hour of sitting there and eating pizza all the girls left besides me and Camila.

"Um," she said catching my attention, "thank you for inviting me here."

"What are friends for?" I asked and shot her a crooked smile, watching as a blush crept on her face

"We're friends?" She asked in a small voice

"We were from the moment I met you in that hallway on Monday."

I smiled as the flashback ended and looked at the amazing girl next to me, who was now a junior and who I was now falling for. Who would've known we were gonna be here in a few years. "This is where it all started." I murmured and leaned over, capturing her lips between mine.

"No, it all started when I first made eye contact with you." She muttered as we pulled apart, her brown eyes soft and full with love. "Thank you."

"For what, Camz?" I asked, brushing a strand of hair out of her face, cupping her cheek.

"For making me feel loved, from that time back when we first came here and up to how, you always know how to make me happy."

"I'll make you happy all the time, no matter what."

"Always?" She asked hopefully

"Always." I said confidently, kissing her.
