2. The End Of An Era *ReWritten Ending*

Start from the beginning

He didn't pay for a cook or a maid. I do all that myself. Keeps me busy I guess. He made me stop working as soon as we were married. I threw a fit over that of course. It didn't end well.

The start of our problems I guess.

Surprisingly a few days after I married Ambrose, Edmund got a job. A very high paying job that landed him very high in society.

Aunt instantly let Ella marry him. It was love at first sight for them. Happily ever after in a large house with two beautiful children. Damian and Johnathon. Both two years old. The apple of their father and mothers eyes.

I wish Rick looked at the children the way Edmund looks at his boys. I want them to grow up loved.

Ella and Edmund were so kind to let us stay with them. I will forever love them for this.

I just hope one day I will find someone who will love me again. Someone who will love me for me.

Because my husband couldn't do that for me. I'm scared he never did. He just married me for the sake of marrying.

Ella's house is nice. But it's not a home. It doesn't feels right. It not good for us. I guess I will have to live with that fact for how ever long I have to stay away.

It might be forever. I know I can't be there in that house without any love.

I wish Rikkard luck. I wish him a happy carefree life full of work and money. A life he's already living now. One without his family.

Rikkard's POV:

Never have I been so tired in my entire life. I have developed a strong dislike for beds in my life.

Time wasting things. Boring things. I need to stay on top with Lord Dagleish still hard on my heels. My ego won't let me drop behind him.

It also seems like my ego will keep me away from my wife. My beautiful Lillian. The light in my eyes, the sunshine to my happiness.

Home at a late hour is how it has to be. I have to work to maintain more money than Dagleish who is surprisingly still unmarried. A bachelor at 27 years old.

The house was cold and dark. A quaint little thing. Ample room for the children to play. Lots of room and books for Lillian. Adventure books of course. I don't think I've ever seen her read a book about romance once in my life.

A small smile graced my lips as I headed upstairs discarding my tail coat on the way.

I entered Rosie's nursery. She's surprisingly wasn't in there. I picked up my pace and headed towards Eddie's room. He wasn't there either.

I speed walked towards mine and Lillian's room. Panic taking over my features.

She wasn't there either. Where is she? Where are the children?

I ran frantically round and round the home screaming there names but got no reply.

"Karim? Karim?" I roared throwing a plant pot at the wall.

Karim always stayed near the house. He even has his own room downstairs. He only sleeps there through the night. Only at night. He's never here during the day.
