Friends and Family Part 1

My name is Jordyn, I'm 24 years old, I'm dating a guy named Mitch, and he's friends with the crew from Ghost Adventures, I've been dating Mitch for 2 years now, though we haven't actually moved in together yet, we stay at each other's some nights though, it's actually Mitch's birthday today, he's 26, he's invited me, Zak, Aaron, Billy and Jay over to his for a meal, well, he's going to order a take out. So I'm getting myself ready for that, we are like his family to him, he's known the guys since about college, I know the guys through him, he doesn't have much of a family, parents aren't together, he doesn't see either of them much these days, he doesn't have any siblings.

I take a shower and put on some fancy clothes. I grab Mitch's present and my keys, I don't drive but I don't want to be locked out of my home. I walk to Mitch's, he doesn't live far, plus I quite like to walk anyway. When I get there Zak and the guys are already there, I knock on the door and I'm greeted by Mitch.

"Hey gorgeous" He says as he lets me in and kisses me.

"Happy birthday babe" I say.

"How are you?" He asks.

"I'm great, I got you a present" I say giving him the gift bag.

"Thanks babe" He says. "Come on through, Zak and the gang are here" He says.

"Hey Jordy" Zak says.

"Hey Zak, hey guys" I say as they all greet me with a peck on the cheek.

"How are you?" Aaron asks.

"I'm good, thanks, you?" I ask.

"Well, I'm good, everyone is knackered from work, but I do drink lots of coffee" He says.

"Jay how's Ashley? Is she feeling any better?" I ask. Ashley has had a sickness bug for about 3 days now.

"She's starting to get better, I was gonna stay home and be with her tonight but she wouldn't let me, she told me to be here and have fun, I still feel bad though, I don't think I'm gonna stay long" He says.

"Well I hope she gets better soon bro" Billy says.

"Anyway, let's get this birthday celebration started" Zak says clapping his hands together once.

Knock knock

"Well that's perfect timing, that should be food, I hope everyone is ok with Chinese" Mitch says going to the door. "Thanks man, have a good evening" We hear and the door shuts, he sets everything on a table.

"That looks delicious dude" Aaron says.

"Let's hope it is as good as it looks" Zak says. We all get a plate and serve up what we want. And start eating.

"So Jordy, Mitch, any news on when you're gonna move in together? You've been together for 2 years now" Billy asks.

"Not yet but I want to someday, soon I hope, I really believe Jordy is my girl for life" He says while we smile at each other.

"I look forward to our future together babe" I say. We finish eating and put our plates away.

"Present time" Zak says.

"Anybody want some alcohol to drink?" Mitch asks.

"Naa I gotta drive home" Zak says.

"Same here, gotta drive safe" Billy says.

"I'm walking home" Aaron says. "Don't really wanna wake up on a bench with a nasty headache" He says.

"Bill could you take me home? I walked here but I fancy a drink" Jay asks.
