Miracles Do Happen

Alyson POV

My attention turns to the monitor that started beeping. The lines weren't straight anymore...his...his heart is beating. I run out the room and look for Dr. Phillips he is talking to Jason's parents at the waiting room.

"Dr. Phillips, Jason is alive" I exclaim to him. He turns around but looks at me with pity.

"No, Alyson, Jason...is gone" Mrs. Parker says her breaking at her words.

"His heart is beating!" I scream loud enough to get some sense into them. Dr, Phillips walks towards the room and sees the monitor beeping.

"I need to run some tests to see that everything is fine" he says and calls some nurses to help him. I walk out the room to let him do his work.

"Alyson.." Mrs. Parker says and Mr. Parker behind her.

"He's alive" I say smiling. I could see tears coming out of her eyes.

A while later Dr. Phillips comes out of the room. He comes towards us with a smile on his face and I know that everything is fine, Jason is gonna be okay.

"Everything is good, his tests are incredible, I have never seen anything like this in my 12 years of being a doctor, I guess it's a miracle" he says.

"Thank you" I say. He nods then leaves to talk to a nurse. I turn to Mrs and Mr. Parker.

"Everything is fine" I say handing out my hand towards Mrs. Parker and she takes it.

"He will be okay" I say and now I let the tears fall because I'm happy. I'm glad that he is okay, everything will be.

It's been a few days since the surgery and I've been with Jason everyday to see how he's doing. Right now I'm about to go and talk to him.

I walk in to his room he's sleeping. I don't want to wake him up so I just stay there looking at him sleeping. I know it's weird looking at someone while they're sleeping but I just can't stop staring.

"Like what you see?" He says

"Jason, did I wake you?" I say getting up from my seat.

"No" he says trying to sit up

"Lay down" I say. Gently placing my hand on his shoulder.

"I've been in this bed for days I feel like getting to move a little bit Alyson" he says smiling.

"How are you feeling?" I ask him

"Um..good" he replies

"Do you feel any pain right now because I can call the nur-" I get caught off by him.

"Alyson...I'm okay" he says holding my hand in his.

"You sure?" I sigh

"Yes now stay with me" he replies

Even in his state he can still mange to make me nervous. God I love him.

"I love you too" he says

"I said it out loud?" I ask

"Yes you did" he smiles

"How have you been?" He asks me and points the chair and tell me to sit down. I push the chair next to his bed and sit down.

"I'm good now that you're better" I say

"Have you gone to school?" He asks

"No" I say

"Why?"

"Because I've been here"

"Taking care of me?"

"Yeah.."

"Damn I didn't know that I meant so much to you" he smiles

"Shut up" I say slightly punching him on his shoulder.

"Ow" he says

"Oh I'm sorry I didn't mean to hit you I'll leave now" i say talking a little way to fast

"I'm just playing" he laughs still holding my hand

"Don't play like that" I say when he put his hands on my face and slowly pulled me to him.

"But I love it when you get all worried about me" he whispered in my ear. He was looking at me now with his beautiful hazel brown eyes. The way that his thumb slides towards my lips. We were so close now that his breath could fan me. Then his lips were on mine soft against my lips.

Placing his hand slowly on my cheek. Then he slowly backs away and looks into my eyes.

"I love you Alyson" are the words that came out of his mouth and at first I thought I heard wrong but then I look at him and he had tears in his eyes.

"I've always loved you" he started "you have been there for me when no one else was" a tear slides down his eyes "you mean everything to me that I don't want to loose you Alyson" he says

"You won't loose me Jason" I assure him

"How do you know that?" He asks

"Because I'll stay by your side no matter what" I say smiling at him.

"I'm so glad I have you" he smiles

"You would probably be a failure without me" I joke and laugh then he grabs me by my face and kisses me.

"I probably would be" he laughs
