I woke up to the sun's harsh light beaming onto my tired face. I cursed under my breath and rolled over to the other side of the bed. My face buried into my mountain of pillows.
I don't want to wake up
"Fuck today already" I mumble annoyed at my current situation. I push my body away from my warm and inviting bed and ultimately get up. The walk into my bathroom seemed to last years and the cold tiles woke me up.
I leave my phone on my sink and climb into my shower. The hot water greeting me pleasantly and washed away the last of my sleep. I wrap my pink stripped towel tighter around my self and walk over to my vanity. My reflection staring back at me. Why didn't I look happy? Why was there a pit in my stomach?
What was going on?
I rolled my eyes at the alert from my phone that dragged me from my own thoughts. My hand grasped my pink cased phone and picked it. My hazel eyes scanning on the text that was lit up on my screen.
Mikaela: hey me and the girls are meeting at Burger King you in?
Sky: sure I'd love to, how about you pick me up in 10?
Mikaela: sounds great
I grinned at the thought of spending the day with my friends and grabbed my make up bag. The simple and light make up I applied sat on my skin. I felt confident. I feel beautiful.
