Aliona's P.O.V

I walked into the dance, glancing around at every face I saw. Looking for him.

Elena and Bonnie were by my side along with Stefan as we all wondered across the room, dodging around the many dancing people in 60's outfits. I myself had worn a body-con dress with wavy pink and orange patterns on, in truth I'd bought it a couple of days ago. I didn't have anything from the 60's left, not even the guy I thought I'd loved.

"Thanks for being here everybody." Dana spoke into the microphone as the music faded slightly. "We have a special shout out tonight, this is for Elena. From Klaus." She smiled as everybody was clapping, I frantically looked around the room. Searching for his face.

Damon and Jeremy walked over and joined us, Elena looked beyond terrified as she held onto Stefan.

"That was a lame cheat shot, he's just trying to bait us." Damon sighed.

"I know everyone here." Elena spoke in confusion as we were all looking around.

"Maybe he's not here, he just wants us to believe that he is." I shrugged, trying to convince myself more than anyone else.

"It's a party, people. Blend. Let him come to us." Damon spoke as we all nodded.

"Good idea." Bonnie nodded and grabbed Jeremy, pulling him onto the dance floor.

"Nah I really don't feel like dancing." Jeremy groaned.

"Too bad." Bonnie smiled as they both walked off and blended into the crowd.

"There's Rick." Damon pointed out. "Lets go Ali." He nodded to me as I glanced back to see Stefan and Elena dancing, yeah I didn't want to be stood here awkwardly.

"Special dedication huh, this guy's twisted." Rick spoke as we walked over.

"It's not impressive though." I shrugged as Rick raised an eyebrow.

"No?" He questioned.

"Let me know if you see anything." Damon spoke before wondering off, probably to drink from someone. It wouldn't surprise me.

"So you scared?" Rick asked me as I looked up at him.

"I was, but...now I feel that if he's coming he should just get it over with. He's dragged it out long enough already." I shrugged and Rick nodded.

"Yeah maybe he's closer than we think though." He added.

"Maybe, but I don't think he's here. I would've seen him by now." I shook my head, scanning the crowd for his face.

"So you two go back huh?" Rick asked as I sighed but nodded.

"I guess you could say that, he's been chasing me for almost a century." I spoke nonchalantly.

"So why've you stopped running?" He questioned with a frown.

"Because I'm done, he wouldn't kill me. But he made a vow when I...betrayed him. He vowed to kill anybody that I had a relationship with, but not my brothers." I shrugged. "And considering I haven't been with a guy that I could say I loved for nearly 50 years, I think I'm okay." I spoke as Rick nodded, I felt a bit lighter now that I'd said that out loud. I didn't want to tell my brother's yet though. "I uh...I'm gunna go look around." I muttered and walked off, not waiting for Rick's reply.

I'd been looking around for nearly an hour when I found Elena and Bonnie.

"Hey Ali, have you seen Stefan or Damon?" Elena asked as I shook my head.
