Chapter Ninteen: Don't tell Jace

"So," a voice said.

I jumped and turned around and I saw Clary standing there with her arms crossed. She had a horrid look on her face. Like she was about to jump me or something.

"What are you doing here? Don't you knock?" I keep going through my closet.

"I would've knocked but then Jace would know why I'm here and you don't want that do you?"

"It depends on what you're asking for, Clarissa." I threw a black t-shirt to the floor and kicked it away.

"I'm not asking for anything. But you might."

"Shut the hell up and just tell me what you came in here for." I said ready to punch her.

"You're going on a date and you don't want Jace to know." She smirked evilly.

"It's not a date. I'm just trying to get Alex to leave me alone. And yes, I don't want Jace to know because I know Jace will beat the shit out of Alex and I'm just trying to get stuff out of him. Now go away and don't tell Jace. Please."

"I won't tell." Clary said. "Goodnight." Then she closed the door and I heard her platform shoes clack away.
