"Melissa, what in the world were you doing in Ethan's office today?" My father's voice roared at me. I was sitting in the family room with my dad and Clara drilling me. Patience sat off to the side watching my every move.

"Just like he said, I had a rough day, and I asked him to come get me."

"Just what was so rough about your day that you had to call one of William's colleagues in the middle of his busy day for you?" Clara spewed not bothering to hide her look of distaste for me.

"You wouldn't believe me if I told you." I mumbled lowly. I knew they didn't hear me.

"Since when have you two been so close anyway?" She looked at me smugly.

"Does it even matter, he's been taking me to school for the past few days."

"Why would he need to do that, your sister can take you."

"Oh please, she doesn't want me next to her car let alone in it." I snorted at my dad's ignorance.

"There's a perfectly good bus stop a block away from the house." Maleficent, I mean Clara interjected.

"You're right there is a bus stop a block away from the house, that bus stop just so happens to get to school an hour early."

"Look, Ethan takes me to and from school, we also converse outside of that. Dad when have I ever done any wrong?" I look my father in his eyes daring him to make up some bullshit lie. He puts his head down sighing. I'm right, and he knows it.

"Fine if you want to hang put with him it's fine. It's also okay for him to take you to and from school."

"Dad! William!" Clara and my sister yell. They're mad that my dad actually sided with me just this once. Knowing them they're not going to play dirty this early on. So I know them pouting, and whining is all they'll do right now.

Since my homework is done, and tomorrow's a weekend I'm officially bored now. I scroll through my non existent contact list know I don't really have anybody to talk to. Today's a free day for Raven so I know she's partying it up at the dorms. I guess somebody must have sensed my boredom.

Superhero: You busy?

No I'm actually very bored

Superhero: Date number 2 is waiting on you.

I have a personal debate in my head about whether I actually want to go through with this. Oh, screw it I'm extremely bored, and I never leave this house.

Sure

Superhero: Sweet!!! I'll be there at eight, dressy attire please.

I didn't bother to text back. Honestly, what's the point of that after we made plans. If I text back we'll have a whole other conversations going on, which will cause me to take even longer to get ready.

I hook my phone to my old iPhone dock letting one of my favorite songs by Pierce The Veil play. I'm a bit of music junkie, so my choice of music ranges from one genre to another. After my shower is done, and my skin is moisturized I begin the taming of my curls. Looking through my closet for a decent outfit I decide that I can't go wrong with all black. Just as I finished doing my makeup the doorbell rang.

"Patience, somebody's here for you." I hear Clara call from downstairs. The voices go quiet to almost a whisper.

"Ummmm Melissa it's for you." I do a double take in the mirror making sure I'm pleased with my attire.
