I couldn't get the image of her slowly going up the stairs out of my head. She moved as of she was walking to her doom. I focus on the papers I front of me. Today's my free day from school so I'm working at the office. My dad is owner of a huge business, and Mr. Dawson just so happens to work for him. Since I'm in line to take over the business I work for my dad as well, I work under him, but I'm still at a higher position than Mr. Dawson. I don't mind being a businessman because know I'll never fully be involved in the company unless it's something really big, like a merger, or moving the company.

Mr. Dawson has been trying to get this position for the past five years, or at least a position higher than President of the company. For as long as I've been alive the Dawson's and my family have been somewhat close. If it was up to Mrs. Dawson, and Patience we would be closer. They've been trying to get me interested in that girl since we were little. I just don't see it. Patience could never be it for me.

My phone was still going crazy with notifications from last night I had to turn them off. Shit, who the hell is calling me now?

"What do you need Porter?"

Porter was literally my mini-me. He took over as the misfit bad boy when I graduated. He's been following me around, wanting to be like me since he was a kid. That's exactly why he's the leader of my old gang.

"E, you gotta get down here. It's Melissa-"

I hung up not letting him finish his words. I heard the one name I needed to hear to know I needed to go. I told my secretary to hold all of my calls, and my meetings until I came back. I grabbed my jacket making sure my keys were in my pocket. If I could have snapped my fingers to appear at the school I would, but I know for a fact that I damn near ran every red light I came to. I'll pay them off, my priority is Melissa.

I strolled the halls ignoring the looks of the students passing to their classes. My eyes held nothing but determination. I stopped just outside of the girl's locker room. Thankfully Porter had got the staff to leave before I got there.

"What the fuck happened dude? You're supposed to be watching her!" I whisper yelled frustrated.

"I was man, I swear I've been with her all day. Somehow when we were changing classes I lost her in the rush."

He lost her, is he fucking serious? You had one job dumb ass, one fucking job!

"Still doesn't answer my question. What? Happened? To? Her?" I said each word slowly.

"After I lost her I went all over looking for her til I heard little muffled screams coming from the locker room. When I went in she was surrounded by Patience, and her idiot friends."

Patience, I should have fucking known. I gestured for him to continue on.

"E I swear she was yelling so loud when I told them to get away from. I don't even think she knew she was screaming. They scattered away leaving her there. When I tried to touch her she yelled at me to go away. Any time I tried to get close to her she would scream her head off. She did the same with the faculty."

I didn't want to hear anymore, I needed to know myself. I knocked on the door. Nothing. I tried again. Nothing.

"Melissa?"

"Go away!" She's crying. See now I was going to try to coax her out of the locker room, nope. I burst through the door telling Porter as well as the crowd that has formed to stay back.

She looked so small, and hurt. I got closer allowing me to see everything. Her arms were red, and raw like they had been scrubbed to hell. Her face full of bruises, and she was soaking wet.

"Oh, babe, what did they do to you?" I reached out to touch her face only for my hand to be met with freezing water.

"Melissa, this water is damn near ice cold. You could get sick." I turned the nobs turning the water off. I took in her appearance again. Her lips were blue from her sitting under the showerhead that was blasting cold water. Her curls were ringing wet, the small amount of makeup she does wear was now smeared. She looked like a cute raccoon.

"C-c-could you please go a-away?" She stuttered out. I shook my head.

"You know I'm not gonna do that. Why didn't you call me Princes?" She finally looked at me.

"You t-t-told m-me to st-st-st-stand up for mys-s-self." I wiped her tears away feeling her cold baby cheeks in the process.

"Not like this babe, it was three on one. Those odds aren't fair. You were supposed to call me. That's why my number is there."

I looked at all of her wet belongings, guess she couldn't really call me even if she wanted to now could she? Her phone was shot to shit, the screen was all pixalized, and it looked like it had been stepped on too. I wrapped my jacket around her before taking her in my arms.

"Come on, Princess." She leaned her head into my chest, her body still shaking. Porter was right behind me with her things. I turned looking at the crowd of teenage assholes, zeroing my glare in on Patience and her duo of bimbos.

"Anybody else touches, or says anything to or about my girl it'll be the last time you ever do it. Oh yeah, Tabitha, tell your bitch of a boyfriend I'm still gonna kick his ass."

She was safe at school now, I knew she was because I claimed her. They were all too afraid of me and what I could do to go against my words. I sat my girl in the front seat gently. I refused to take her back home, so she'll be going to my office with me.

The people in my office looked at me weirdly because I was carrying a girl in with me. I didn't care, the knew better than to question my actions. Taking her into the bathroom attached to my office I cleaned her wounds up. I always have a spare set of clothes with me because I hate staying in suits. However, I don't mind sacrificing my comfortability for my girl. She came out in my sweatpants with my shirt tied at the side to fit her curvy figure. Her plus sized body was nothing compared to my muscular one. I couldn't help the look I gave her seeing her like that.

She tip toed through my office as if she was afraid she would mess something up

She tip toed through my office as if she was afraid she would mess something up.

"What's wrong?" She sat on the small leather couch to the far right hugging herself.

"I don't want Mr. Dawson to see me here. I don't want to get in trouble for being around you."

I walked towards her pulling her arms from around herself making her look at me.

"Beautiful, nobody's going to do anything else to you as long as I'm hear. I'm the hero and the hero always saves the princess even when she doesn't want to be."

"Why do you want to save me so bad?"

"Because I know you'll never admit you need to be saved. You're stubborn, and self reliable, innocent, sweet, and adorable."

She tucked her lip between her teeth, Her cheeks darkened with a slight blush, and her hair hung in her face. Fuck, I can't resist it. I place my hand under her chin bringing her face to mine.

"Just let me save you babe." I kissed her lips sealing a fate I know she's scared to death of. She's definitely mine after this.
