Recap
So erm should we get the pledge started?" She asked.

"Yeah sure what do we have to do?" I asked.

"I have to make a small cut on our pinky fingers and then we join them in a pinky promise as I recite our names and what I will do as your protector." She said.

She left the room before entering again with a knife that had a bright blue ribbon on it.

"Are you ready?" She asked.

I nodded my head in reply and offered my left pinky which was the one she needed.

She did the same to her left pinky before joining our pinkies before the cuts could heal.

"I Beth Greene accept the assigned protection role of future Queen; Rachael Anne Jones and pledge to stay loyal and protect her the way I was born to do."

I felt the power between the two of us before we released each other's pinkies.

I looked at mine to see that the cut had healed and a small bright blue scar replacing it.

It worked.

Rachael's PoV

Today I finally get to leave my hospital room and hopefully see Ethan.

It's been 5 days since I've woken up and a week since we first came to this hospital.

Beth is still here but her parents had to leave since they left their daughters with a family friend.

I did tell Beth that she could also leave with her parents since Sam and Connor were already here but she said that she would rather stay here for another week just in case.

Connor, Sam, Charles, Justin and my parents have visited me a few times and have bought me flowers, cards, balloons and food which I really appreciate.

I heard a knock on the door which made me look towards it.
I said a quiet 'come in' before the doctor, a nurse and my mum walked in.

"Hey sweetheart Merry Christmas." She said kissing my cheek as the doctor went to check the clipboard by my bed.

"It's Christmas?!"

"Yes." Replied my mum.

"Why didn't you guys tell me sooner? I haven't even got anyone presents and what about the Christmas dinner? You guys can't miss that." I exclaimed.

"It's okay sweetheart. You don't need to give us Christmas presents and we all understand anyways."

"But that seems unfair." I said.

"Well you can always give us late Christmas presents and I'm sure the hospital is serving some Christmas dinner." She replied before letting the doctor, who was patiently waiting, speak.

"Good morning miss Jones, how are you feeling?" She asked.

"Morning and I'm feeling fine thank you." I replied.

"Okay that's good. Today we're going to take the cast off your arm and put it in a sling. As for your leg, it's going to have to stay in a cast for another week and then we will go from there." She explained.
