6.A DIFFERENT VIEW

Looking back at the canvas Klaus felt satisfied at his latest piece, putting it away in a place where no one would see he headed off because school had let out half an hour ago so he headed towards Amber's room to return her book like the gallant gentleman  he was.
Amber had just searched her whole room and still the book did not turn up,so with a huff she dropped onto her bed racking her brain for an answer. She had just decided to go to bed early so she could get to class and search for it when a knock came at her door,she opened the door only to groan in frustration at who she saw.
"what do you want now" she said with hostility but he only smirked leaning against the doorframe and this only aggravated her more.
"Oh I just wanted to return this ,you dropped it in class" he  replied with that smirk that made Amber's eye twitch in irritation
"thanks" she said in a clipped tone and went to close the door when he stopped it with his foot
"that's all I get?" he asked humorously looking down at this creature that had vexed him and entraped his thoughts the whole day.She had even woven her influence into his art and Klaus couldn't help but drift back to the canvas in class right at the back hidden well enough to avoid the eye of an experienced tracker.
"yes ,now if you don't mind..." she said frowning
"but I do mind" he said cheekily
"well I don't care" Amber replied snarkly
"okay I'm sorry for the way I acted when we first met I know that it was unacceptable and completely out of character,I would like to redeem myself in your eyes,what I'm asking for is a second chance could we start over please" Klaus said with all the sincerity be could muster and the boyish innocence Amber saw seemed to make her anger with him fade
"fine" she agreed caving to the list puppy look he gave her
"well then.Hie I'm Klaus" he said with a little bow leaving a small kiss on her knuckles
"I'm Amber,nice to meet you" she said blushing and looking at her feet. There it was that air around her that shyness Klaus had come to only identify with her and he'd be lying if he said it didn't make him want her more but he knew that she was not like the other girls he knew, with Amber he would take his time study her learn everything about her and make her fall for him.
"like wise,so I'll be on my way have a wonderful evening Amber" he said turning and heading home .Amber stood in her doorstep and watched his retreating figure with a light blush on her cheeks wondering what tomorrow would bring.
The next morning Amber woke up feeling refreshed ,things were looking up she had made new friends thanks to Clara and the call from Caleb this morning seemed to be the cherry on top as she skipped off to breakfast after getting ready for school ,after getting her food she sat down and began eating.
Klaus woke up with a good feeling today u just couldn't shake it and entering the canteen and spotting Amber in a seemingly good mood have him an extra pep in his step
"good morning kitten" he said smirking when she blushed
"good morning to you too Klaus" she said cheerily trying to hide her blush
"awww you're really cute when you blush" Klaus said poking her cheek
"oh stop it" she said giggling and swatting his hand away from her face
"no freaking way" came the voice of Clara from behind them "you're dating Klaus?" she asked
"no" Amber said
"yes" Klaus said smugly
"I have a boyfriend" she said glaring at Klaus and she swore she saw a tinge of jealousy in his eyes
"oh really what's his name" Klaus challenged although he knew the answer to his question
"Caleb" she said glaring
"ooooo hot name is he cute?" Clara questioned making Amber blush scarlet
"who is cute babe?" David asked sitting next to her and giving her a small peck on the lips
"oh my poor eyes may never recover" came Jed as he plopped down at the table ,Clara stuck out her tongue at him and flipped him off .Everyone eventually joined the table but there was an unmistakable tension when Apollo sat down next to Amber and point blank glared at Klaus over her head .
"oh we were just talking about Amber's boyfriend Caleb" Clara answered David "let's see the pic Amber" she demanded and Amber handed her phone over of which the screen saver was of her and Cale at the beach just before he had thrown her into the water "omg he is a sex god" she squealed "owch what was that for" she said rubbing her waist David had just pinched
"oh just a reminder you have a boyfriend too, why can't you be like Amber hmmmm maybe I should date her" he asked teasingly
"like hell!" came three voices from Clara ,Killian and Klaus which made each brother snap their heads and glare at each other again, this made Amber sink into her seat trying to avoid the death glares being sent over her head .The reliving shrill of the ball had Amber utterly grateful as she received her phone from Clara
"come on kitten we don't want to be late for English" Klaus said breaking the silence and held out his hand as she awkwardly said goodbye to everyone and walked off with Klaus
"Apollo don't do  this" Clara warned seeing the glare he had given Amber and Klaus' joined hands but without a reply he stormed out to his next class a seething anger coursing through his veins that only his carpentry class could sate, but throughout the class his mind kept drifting back to her
"you know what screw her,if she prefares him then so be it" he muttered angrily
