Laurence sat on the floor, on top of a blue racecar blanket with his little brother Caleb sitting in front of him. He loved spending time with his baby brother, especially now that he was learning how to talk. Granted he coud only say "No" "Mom" and "Dad" but that wasn't going to stop Laurence from trying to teach him how to count. It was never too soon.

"Caleb." Laurence said, shuffling through flashcards for a moment before holding up one of the cards. "What number is this?" He asked, holding up the card with a number 2 on it.

Caleb looked at him before a smile covered his face. "Dadda!"

Laurence frowned slightly, "No buddy, not Dad. This is the number 2, can you say two?"

Caleb looked confused before saying again, "Dadda."

"Two."

"Da."

"Two."

"Daddada."

Laurence sighed, "Come on, Caleb, say it for Big Brother, say two."

Caleb's face scrunched up with focus before he said loudly, before reaching for Laurence. "Broder."

Laurence froze for a moment before a smile crept on his face and he pulled Caleb into his lap. "Yeah." He chuckled, "Numbers are overrated anyways."
