When it's arranged...

Chapter 22

I walked into Albatu industries after I thanked MS for giving me a ride.

"Where the hell is my fiancee?" I asked the first person I could find wearing an Albatu uniform assuming that they'll know who I am

"Ms. Isles, truly sorry to say this to you but we do not have him here, in fact we do not have him at all, I understand how you assumed that we do but we don't. If there is nothing else we can help you with I'm gonna have to ask you to leave, we can't be seen with the enemy's daughter." The man said surprisingly polite before he turned to walk away

I stood there for a while not knowing what to do, if they don't have him why would my dad say that they do and if they do have him why would they lie? Actually it makes sense why they would lie to me, I am ,after all, the enemy's daughter.

"Ma'am can I help you?" A woman asked breaking my chain of thaught

"How long have you worked for Albatu?" I asked

"About f-" before she could finish her sentence my phone rang revealing the caller ID as Luke

"Luke? Are you ok?" I answered as the woman started to walk away

"Kate, I'm so sorry for leaving you on the airport but I got fake kidnapped for a bachelor's party"

"What the hell????" I wanted to sound mad but I was too relieved.

"Please don't be mad at me" he said warmly

"I'm not mad at you but I never want to meet those friends of yours ever... where are you though?" I asked before he could answer my previous comment

"In Mauritius " he said slowly

"Are you kidding me? Ok whatever, I'm going back to London... see you there whenever you decide to come back"

"Kate"

"Yes?" I answered hopelessly

"I love you"

"You too" I said before I hung up the phone

I left Albatu's headquarters before I texted my dad

Dad,  they don't have Luke, it's a bachelor's party -Kate

I called an uber and headed for the airport

When I arrived home (to the mansion)  I phoned Austin

"Hey Kate."

"Austin, you said you wanted to talk, I'm all ears" I said

"Kate, I actually wanted to speak in person, can we meet up some place?"

"Sure, can i see you at Arnold's at 2?" Arnold's is the pub we met at

"Perfect thanks Kate" he said before he hung up

I started typing in Christopher's number when my dad called

"Dad" I answered

"You young lady have a lot of explaining to do, send me your address and I'll be there at 2"

"No dad, sorry but I'm busy at 2, what about ... umm... never? That'll have to do"

"Kate you are way out of line, what makes you think that this is ok?"

"Dad my phone is dying and your voice is giving me a headache so I'll have to chat later bye" I said and hung up before he could answer

I sat down on the mattress I slept in before we flew and phoned Christopher

"Kate hey, are you guys back?" He asked as he answered

"I am, I got your message, what's up?"

"I'm not one to invite myself but can I maybe come to your house some time today just to catch up?"

"Uhm, sure, I'll send my apartment's address since my house isn't fully furnished yet and I'll text you when you can come over" I replied before hanging up and seeing that it's already 1:45.

I rushed to my car and drove to the bar where Austin and I are supposed to meet up.

I ran in and saw Austin sitting at the bar with a glass of whiskey smiling at something that Catherine beside him said

To all of you who are still reading, I want to thank you for your patience cause I do take quite a while to update, I hope you enjoy this chapter and I'll try my best to have a new one out by next week Sunday. I do know that none of my chapters are emitted so I'll also start doing that but that won't be done by next week. Hope you enjoy♡♧♢♤
