Dean had heard every word she said. And she wasn't wrong. Dean didn't talk about feelings, and he did lie about taking her on hunts.

Dean rubs his face tiredly. It hadn't been an easy hunt but that was simply because he was distracted. Gabriel comes out of the bathroom and sits on Alexs bed but she stays in there. Dean knocks on the door after a moment. He doesn't hear anything and goes in. Alex is sitting in the tub, her knees pulled to her chest

"Hey Lex" he smiles softly

"Hi."

"Let's make a deal. Okay? You pick the next hunt, help us with it, and then me and you can talk if you want. I know I'm not super easy to live with all the time, but hunting is a dangerous job and I worry about you all the time. I've been worrying about you since before you could even hold your own head up." Dean smiles a little

"I worry about you too. I worry that you might not come back. It's hard on both of us and I want to help you on the field too."

"But you can't see sweetheart. That's why I worry. How would you know if there was someone there, or where they are, or if they want to hurt you, how would you defend yourself?"

"Well then I guess one of my little secrets is about to come out. Follow me." She takes his hand and grabs Sam and Gabe on the way out.

They stand behind the motel, the boys looking rather confused.

"Gabe I'm gonna have to ask that you sacrifice yourself for the greater good. I'll go easy." Alex smiles

Gabe rolls his eyes at her dramatics but agrees.

"You two need to back up a few feet." She motions to her brothers

They do as told and watch Alex and Gabriel take stance. Then, she starts attacking him. He barely manages to defend himself mist of the time, but he was quite good. They stop once Alex has the angel pinned. She helps him off the ground and turns to her brothers

"I've been teaching him. But I'm not that good at teaching. So both of you fight me." She demands

"Lex I'm not gonna-" Dean starts but gets his legs kicked out from under him.

She turns to Sam

"Shit" he cries and throws a hand up to defend his face

She fights them both well, and in the end nobody won, but the brothers were breathless.

"Who the hell taught you that?" Dean demands

"I did. Like this." She dashes into the woods avoiding trees like she'd been doing it for years. She had.

She comes back only a few moments later and faces her brothers

"How long have you been training? And how?"

"I ran through the woods behind motels. Doing it for 4 years now. I even taught Candy Man how to defend himself, at least until someone could get to him. Assuming someone could." She smirks at him

"Dear god" Dean moans

"Well you weren't gonna do it." She crosses her arms

"Okay. Pick the next hunt." Dean sighs

Alex smiles big and grabs Gabe and they head inside.

"I'm gonna kill him if he gets too close." Dean mutters

"If you can get past Alex, go right for it." Sam chuckles
