Chapter 23

Katie's POV

I felt like I was walking on clouds. Everything was so peaceful. Not a single negative person in sight.

"Katie." I turned around

I saw a girl that looks just like me

"Who are you?" I asked

"Your spirit." She answered, "Why did you do this to yourself?"

"I shouldn't have been born - it was a mistake. I am the mistake." I answered

"No your not! Your too young to get this society get to you." she shouted, "Think of your family - do you want them to suffer?"

I thought about Mom and Kendall. They must have seen the video - they must know i've planned out this whole thing. I pray they aren't blaming theirselves

"Now you see how they feel?" My spirit asked

"Yeah - how long have I been there for?" I asked

"A few days - if you don't wake up by tomorrow, they are putting you off life support."

"Isn't that like killing?" I gasped

"Do you want to go back?" my spirit ingored my question

"But I like it here! It's beautiful and peaceful."

"Your too young to be in heaven!" she shouted

"You're going back if you want to or not." my spirit threatened me

"That's threatening!" I protested

"I'm your spirit - I control you. Just stay strong for your family okay?" she smiled

"i'll try." I promised

She nodded and jumped into my body. Everything went black again. What? I could feel that I am getting a sense of hearing again. I could hear steady beeping, snores and someone talking.

"Katie just please come back - I need you." A familiar voice cracked

Was it Kendall? He was crying... over me?

"Please Katie please! I miss you so much!" he cried

I felt a tear fall onto my cheek. I was getting my touch back too! I tried to open my eyes but they were too heavy. I tried sitting up but I couldn't. I tried squeezing my hand. Nothing at all. I kept on trying, multiple times. Til I almost had enough. One more time, one more time.

I squeezed the hand that was holding mine - it worked! After all of those attempts it works.

"Katie?" Kendall said. I could hear the smile on his face.

"Squeeze my hand if you can hear me." He said, I squeeze his hand again.

"Guys! Katie's awake! Look!" Kendall shouted.

"Kendall you best not be feeling things again." Logan whined

"Baby sis - do it one more time!" Kendall said, I squeezed his hand.

"Come on baby, just try and open your eyes." James said

"You can do it Katie!" Carlos cheered

With all of my strength I opened my eyes -I bright light blinded me, forcing me to close them again. I tried opening them one more time - blinking a couple of eyes, getting my eye sight adjusted to the light.

"Kendall?" I croaked out

"Katie!" He automatically hugged me.

Kendall's POV

"Kenny, I'm really sorry. For everything. All the drama. You guys don't deserve this." He said

I pulled her into a hug.

"Baby sis, it's okay. It really is. We just want you healthy and ok. Nothing more or nothing less."

Katie smiled. Not a fake smile but a smile that she was generally happy. We separate and the boys and mom all had a moment with her.

She's back! She finally alive. God, Katie please don't ever scare me like that again. Never.
