Violet pov
I walk into school , people stare like normal but notice that Luke isn't beside me . The guys tell me he hasn't been fine but I can't talk to him .

Tears rise in my eyes but I close my eyes for a few seconds , breathing in and opening my locker . Luke walks towards me , I shake my head going to class .

Someone grabs my arm , I look up at him say " no leave me alone Luke " he shakes his head says " no Vi " . I try to pull my arm from his grip , he pulls up my sleeves .

Fresh burns lay on my wrists , guilt rushes to him Luke chokes out " Vi why?" . I see a tear roll down his cheek but I wipe it away say " why? Because you rejected me " .

Not waiting for a reply , I walk straight to first lesson trying to avoid him . Once I sit at my desk , I change the song to ' fools' by Troye Sivan .

My sat is at the back of the classroom , forgetting that Luke will try to sit next to me as well . I focus on my drawing , letting the music just surround me .

It's not long before Luke is sat next to me , he taps my shoulder but I ignore him . Every move he's tries just fails .

Eventually Luke stops trying to get my attention , but has a smirk on his lips . I gulp , this can't be good I wonder what he's gonna do now .

After the few lessons , I walk into the food hall pulling out my sketch book again and drawing . My headphones blast music loud avoiding all the whispers or talking about me .

Luke pov
I notice Violet sat at our table like always , drawing in her sketch book headphones in . Whispers spread around me , but I ignore them going towards her .

Tapping her shoulder she looks up pulling out a headphone says " can you just stop? Please?" . I say " no I'm not going to you might be willing to drop me on my ass but I'm not to you " .

Her eyes widen realizing her promise , but now Violet takes it back . I should of kissed her back , she would of been in my arms by now not another's arms .

Sliding back in her headphone , she now acts if I'm not here , but I take a seat next to her . Taking a jump I grab her hand pulling Violet close to me .

Instantly she drops her pencil , leaning in my arms Violet says " Luke I -" I cut her off kissing her on the lips . Violet doesn't try to push me away she just kisses back .

I pull away kissing her forehead , whisper " I'm not giving up on you " Violet nods placing her hands on my chest .

Her cheeks blush pink noticing everyone staring , I say " okay! It was just a kiss don't act like you haven't seen one!" .

They start talking again , she laughs whispers " I don't want you too " I bite my lip nodding . I know now I can't give up on her , not ever .

Violet smiles kisses my cheek whispers " I missed this " I whisper " you won't miss it ever again " .

Writer's note : okay so to point out no she didn't burn herself because of Luke she felt lonely etc and is insecure as we know . Sometimes we feel turning to things like self harm etc is the only way to help/solve the pain . Remember stay strong , you are loved ❤️
