Zim led the Vortians over the barren landscape under them while Dib attempted to fix the translator. "Y'know, Irken technology isn't too different than the stuff I'm used to," He commented, tweaking the microphone. "I mean, it's advanced, sure, but we're really not that far behind."

"You do realize that you humans believed that I was the Easter Platypus."

"Point taken."

The more Zim thought about it, the more he hated this arrangement. "This is so demeaning," He sighed. "First, I accept help from a human, and now I'm teaming up with the Vortians."

"What's so bad about them?" Dib asked, putting the translator back together.

"They're the laughing stock of the Empire. Zim didn't need their help, but according to you, we do."

"You said it yourself; you don't have to like the agreement. You just need to abide by it," Dib pointed out, sliding the translator over his head. "Say something in Irken."

"האם זה עבד?" (Does it work?)

"A duck with a spoon? What does that mean?"

"Not even close."

The intercom crackled to life. "Irken, do you even have a plan?"

"Of course Zim has a plan!" Nope.

There was momentary silence. "Well?" The Vortian over the intercom sounded impatient.

Suddenly, hundreds of Irken ships rose up to meet them. Startled, Zim backed the ship up. Perfect timing, Vabrin. "Vortian ships?" The green-eyed Irken snickered. "Wow. You're desperate, aren't you?"

"It was the human's idea," Zim replied. "Besides, we're... Somewhat evenly matched now."

"Well, you Irkens aren't nearly as battle-worthy as we thought," A Vortian added behind him.

"Have you seen the Massive lately? Trust me, we're more than battle-worthy," Vabrin hissed. "You Vortians don't know the first thing about battle."

"Oh, but we do," Another Vortian replied. "Remember that time the Massive was almost destroyed? Guess who did that; us."

"That was my mast-" Zim slapped his hand over Gir's mouth.

The two armies continued to bicker until someone on the Irken side fired. It didn't hit anyone or anything, but a chain reaction occurred; a huge battle broke out. Zim quickly flew out of the way of the fight, high above the clouds. He looked down, terrified. Dib got up in back and looked out of the front screen. "What. Did. You. Do?!" He whispered, staring down wide-eyed at the battle.

"I just started a war."

Zim ducked and rolled away from the chaos and lasers he managed to get involved in. "Whose side are we on?" Dib asked, yelling over the fire.

"You tell me!"

"What?! Who have you been shooting at?!"

"I haven't been shooting!"

"That's it; give me the controls!" Dib attempted to wrestle the controls from Zim. The two tugged the controls back and forth until they inevitably crashed into another ship, sending both of them spiraling down. Zim slapped the "Eject" button, but as usual it didn't eject until after she ship hit the ground.

"OH, YOU WRETCHED LITTLE-" He tackled Dib and the two rolled around, fighting and arguing, until the Vortian that crashed with them broke up the two.
