The Other Half

Chapter 3

4 years later
Rosie Pov.

I snuck out of my room. Good thing Emmerald sleeps. I've personally never really liked sleeping. It's just boring.

Knowing Garnet, she shut off the home world warp. I know how to temporarily turn it back on.

I walk down the hallway. I had on a dark blue oversized hoodie. Because of course everyone would notice me if I wore my normal clothes. I pulled up my hood to cover my light pink hair.

When I got the warp I opened up the control panel. I moved around a few wires.

Ok. Here we go. I placed an unlock code in the number pad. After that I ran on the warp pad. Bright light closed around me and I was home.

Just my luck. All of them were there. Garnet looked at me. They all pulled out their weapons. Oh crap. I totally forgot about this.

Just as Garnet was about to smash my skull, I pulled out my sword and blocked her.

"R-Rosie?"
"Yeah." I sighed. I pulled off my hoodie. Showing my white dress. She hugged me with tears in here eyes.
"Where were you?!"
"Home world." I mumbled quietly.

"Why did you come back?" She asked tears running down her face.
"I needed to see him. Just once."

"Guys who's that?" I heard a voice as a boy walked in. Steven. I covered my face with my hands. I ran over to him and hugged him. I looked into his eyes.

"Steven."
"Uh yes?" Oh right. He never met me. I didn't say anything. I just let tears fall from my eyes.

"Steven. This is Rosie. Your sister." Garnet said calmly. He looked at me with wide eyes.
"I have a sister?"

"Steven. Before you were born, Rose had a baby girl. Right before she had you, Rosie... Sort of left."
"Why did you leave?" He asked me.

Just then Pearl walked in. She looked at me in fear and started to pull out her weapon.

"Pearl wait!" Steven cried before she could attack me.
"Steven she left for a reason. Don't you think it's suspicious that she just now came back?"

"Yeah Pearl. Why don't you tell them why I left? Why don't you tell them what a big mistake that I am?! Why don't you tell them why I had to live every day knowing that no one missed me. Knowing that you hate me. Hoping...that you still care. But now I know you meant what you said. You meant every word. And because of that, I had to wait fourteen years! Fourteen years just to see my brother! Is this what you wanted P? Well it came true! I should have never trusted you. I cared about you. We played together. We had so much fun. Why did you have to ruin that?!"

"Rosie...I never said that. You know I would never." A hologram appeared out of my gem. Replaying what Pearl said. Everyone was silent.

I ran out the door. I ran as fast as I could.
