Ch. 56 We're Talking About This Now?!

"So you see, this would not only make the band look good, but it would really help all those children. I really want to do this, Simon." I let out a shaky breath, pacing back and forth in front of Leigh, Aimee, Alexis, and Adam, the phone pressed tightly to my ear.

"Uh-huh . . . have you discussed this with anyone else?" Simon asked.

I nodded, even though he couldn't see me. "Yeah. I told Jade first, then Sam, then everyone else." 

"And what did they have to say?"

"They think it's a good idea."

"May I speak to Jade?" he asked. 

"She's not here right now. She and Jesy had to go back to the bus. So not exactly. Would you like me to give her a message?"

Simon chuckled. "No, I just wanted to know if everyone is agreeing with you because they love you and not because it's actually good idea." 

I huffed angrily. "They wouldn't do that."

"I realized that. Besides, I quite like it."

I gasped. "You do?!"

"Yeah, sure, why not?"

"What about the fundraiser?"

"I'll leave that to you. If you want, go right ahead, just make sure it's legal." 

"Yes! Oh thank you so much Simon, this is going to be sooo fun!"

He laughed. "I'm glad the girls have you around. Actually, now that I think about it, there's a really nice recording studio in downtown L.A., you can record the song you and Jade wrote. I'll see if I can arrange for you to meet up with Savan soon." 

I sighed. "I am no good at writing songs." 

"Well, the one you and Jade wrote is fantastic. Keep it up."

"Okay. I'll do my best. I gotta go, get ready for the show. It's about to get crazy." 

He laughed. "Alright I'll talk to you soon. You're doing a great job, Perrie. Know that." He hung up. I turned around and looked at my audience. 

"He said yes!"

Immediately, I was enveloped in a group hug, all of us dancing around and squeezing each other. I grinned sat down on the floor with Jamie, playing peek-a-boo as I heard footsteps in the hallway behind me, and Jade and Jesy appeared in the doorway. I turned to see my girlfriend, waving Jamie's hand at her in greeting.

"He said yes," I informed her, turning and giving Jamie a dramatic high five, making her giggle adorably. 

"I knew he would!" Jade cheered as she made her way across the room to us. She bent down and gave Jamie a kiss on her forehead and peck my lips. I smiled as Jamie laughed, blowing raspberries with excitement.

"Love you," Jade called over her shoulder as she stood and made her way to Adam for her hair and make-up.

"Isn't she cute? Isn't she cute?" I repeated in a baby voice, making a funny face and tickling a happy Jamie. 

"Oh my gosh I almost wish something would happen to Katherine; you guys are too cute not to have kids," Alexis joked, beginning to organise the racks of our concert outfits. 

I chuckled and left Jamie to play on her own under the supervision of her mother, while I moved to start getting changed. 

I was excited to start planning for the fundraiser after the show.
