I was speechless, as Taehyung's gaze remained on the ground.  It was quiet.

"I'm asking you seriously (Y/N), please don't make me repeat myself again," as soon as those words slipped from Taehyung's mouth, I began to quiver lightly. I noticed him leaning slowly towards me, anticipating for my answer. I bit my lip and averted my gaze. I remained silent, thinking of how to respond to his question.

"Taehyung, I'm sorry if it may sound blunt coming from me but, it is a no," I stated with a stern look plastered on my face. I held my breath as I waited for his answer. At this point, I was terrified of what his next response was.

"You don't understand (Y/N)!" he abruptly exclaims.

"Understand what?" I inquired, wide-eyed.

"Never mind." and with that, Taehyung started walking away, not daring to utter a word.

"Taehyung!" I tried calling for him, but he just kept walking. Now, it was quiet again. I stood there, shock from all what's happening. It doesn't seem like Taehyung. He acts like a different person. . .

What has gotten into him? I thought.

It was the next day, I suddenly thought about yesterday. I wonder what has gotten into Taehyung, he acted weird yesterday, he acted like a person I didn't know.

I started doing my usual routine every morning for school, and this time, I made sure I had my lunch packed ready.

I was on my way to school, and there wasn't any sight of Taehyung, it's better that way because it will be awkward around him now. I saw Jungkook on my way to school.

"Hey Jungkook," I called his name.

"Hey (Y/N), what's up?" Jungkook states as he waited for me to catch up with him.

"Do you have any ideas for our math task?" I asked as we started walking.

"No, sorry (Y/N), we'll think of one together in math class, I was tired from yesterday," Jungkook said as he yawned afterwards.

"Why were you tired yesterday?" I asked in curiosity.

"Oh nothing, I had an argument with someone, but you don't have to worry about it, it's all good," Jungkook states as he let out a little smile.

"Who did you have an argument with?" I asked in curiosity.

"(Y/N), don't worry about it, let's just worry about the math task," Jungkook sighs.

"Oh yeah, why were you late yesterday?" I asked in curiosity.

Taehyung told me he was late for school yesterday, and Jungkook was late yesterday as well, could it be that Jungkook had an argument with Taehyung? Is that why Taehyung asked me on a date? To protect me? How don't I understand? I thought these words in my head with confusion.
