Kai's POV
~
I try to be as gentleman-y as possible. I take her to the guest room and she walks around, touching the walls with her fingers before sitting cross-legged on the bed.
Suddenly she screams and clutches her bloody chest in pain.
"Help...help me!" she shouts in pain and falls into the floor.
"Brooke?!" I run to her and hold her as she groans in pain and screams.
"Wha-what's happening?!" she sobs, staring down at the blood.
"I .. I don't know." I feel hopeless. I can't do anything to help her.
After minutes of screaming and pain, she stops and says,
"It's gone. It just disappeared."
She lays on the floor, staring up at the ceiling, and holds her bloody hands up to her face, looking in a mix of horror and curiosity.
"Okay, what the f*** was that?" I say.
She sighs and gets up.
"Can I look around the house?"
"Sure. Don't break anything."
She gives me a reassuring nod, before walking through the door and looking round.
I walk to my own room, and get out a black shirt along with some shorts that I never wear.
"Brooke?" I shout.
She comes to my room and I throw her the clothes, along with a towel.
"Shower. You can wear my clothes, I have plenty." I smile at her.
"You have cute dimples," she says, clearly in a daze.
"Thanks. I'll show you to the bathroom." I reply, laughing.
It's only opposite my bedroom, so she doesn't have to walk far.
"Leave the door unlocked. Anything can happen."
She raises her eyebrow and smirks.
"Mhm, anything." she says sarcastically.
"Yes, anything," I reply, grinning like a madman.
"I don't want anything to happen to you."
"Neither do I to be honest, but it's a bit late for that, isn't it." She looks down at her chest.
"Brooke?"
"Hmm?"
I point to the bathroom door and she laughs before walking in, shutting the door behind her.
There's nothing more for me to do. I just go to sit on my bed and recall the events of today.
After a couple minutes, I decide to change into something more comfortable. I walk to my wardrobe and get track suits. It's too hot for a shirt. I don't really care anyway.
I don't care about anything, other than keeping this girl safe.
Forever.
