"Hey, _____..." Shin said casually. I stared at him as if he grew a third eye or a second head.
You don't just disappear for weeks and just come back, acting like nothing happened.
My eyes began to sting the longer I looked at him.
No.. I can't cry, I can't forgive him...
He stood next to my bed and reached out to touch my cheek.
The dam of water fell from my eyes. I couldn't look at him.
I looked at my lap and close my eyes, struggling to hold back the seemingly never ending stream of hot tears.
Shin pulled me close into a warm, welcoming hug, stroking my hair soothingly.
"Why'd you leave...?" I hugged him back.
He hugged me tighter.
"Where'd you go...?"
He stroked my hair slower.
"Why didn't you tell me...?"
He didn't say anything.
"Please don't leave me alone like that!"
I don't know how long he held me for, but it felt nice. Just to let out everything I've been holding in, for him to let me vent out everything.
Is this love?
He pulled away to wipe the trail of the last tears off my face and kissed my forehead gently.
"I'm sorry," he whispered so softly. That's all that it took for me to forgive him.
