My sweet, I love you.

By: Brianna MacLean

I can tell you our story and how it ended,

I can write a poem about my loss

I can tell you of the time we had,

And how I loved her so.

I loved her and sometimes she loved me.

I'd sit and hold her on nights like this.

I'd kiss her many times over.

And sometimes she'd kiss me

Love her like the world depended on it

Hold her like there is no 'morrow,

She may never know how much I loved her.

But how could I not love her.

Her large brown eyes and tender voice,

Her unique personality, her radiant smile.

Her laugh that could make anyone smile.

But most of all, her caring affection.

The night as not changed,

still the same when I held her.

But my soul is lost,

Blindingly lost without her.

To let her go, is one thing I vowed I never would,

I loved her so and that is still true.

Though all the pain I felt, I will always love her,

My darling, my muse, the love of my life, I will continue to write for you.
