You were packing up your books just as the bell rang for lunch. You were the prettiest and most popular girl in the school, did you care about that stuff eh not really. You liked to flirt and have fun but you were not the type of girl to flirt with every guy and loose your virginity all in one night that was for sluts.

Believe it or not despite being the most popular girl in school you didn't really have any friends, why? Did people love you but hate you at the same time? No it was just you tried to not make any friends you were always nice to every one treating them with respect however whenever they asked to be your friend you kindly rejected.

It wasn't that you didn't want friends it was just that you had a pretty messed up home life and having that made it so you didn't want to bring friends home, it also meant that you tried to not date guys despite liking to flirt with them. Yeah you were going through really tough times right now and the stress of it all was really starting to build up inside of you.

''H...hey (y/n)-chan, um can I talk to you for a minuet'' you heard a shaky voice say from behind you, you sighed quietly so he couldn't hear and plastered a cute but fake smile on your face turning around to face one of the boys in your literature class,

''sure Taka-kun what is it?'' you asked knowing all too well what was about to happen and if it happened like always you were going to get really bored really fast. He took a deep breath and took a small step towards you looking up into your (e/c) eyes,

''I really wanted to tell you that, I really like you (y/n)-chan and I think your smart and beautiful and I wanna spend the rest of my life with you... I think I am in love with you'' you looked into his eyes and internally sighed another fool saying they loved you without even knowing what the true meaning of love was. You kept the fake smile on your face and laid a hand on his shoulder causing him to look up at you in surprise,

''Taka-kun your a nice guy and all but trust me you really don't want to fall for me it would only end up hurting you in the end. You have such a gentle heart and I don't want to to see that get destroyed so do yourself a favor and forget about me okay?'' you saw his face physically drop in front of you, you had no feeling towards it you were used to rejecting guys by this point, you barely knew this guy and vise versa so it was for the best. He turned around and walked the other way to the classroom saying he had forgotten something.

You sighed and dropped the fake smile allowing yourself to finally breath, you loved night school but you disliked the popularity, people saying they loved you without knowing you ludicrous, sure you liked to flirt it was fun and a way to pass time but it wasn't like you lied to yourself about your feelings.

You were about to start walking down the stairs to lunch when your head started to spin out of no where, you dropped your books and held your head trying to keep yourself steady but too late, you fell... blackout

You felt someone holding you and shaking your shoulders, you thought you could hear a voice,

''.ake up.... hey c'mon wake up'' you opened your eyes and came face to face with a set of piercing green eyes in front of you, you looked around a little to see that you were still in the stair well but you hadn't fallen down the stairs instead you were in the arms of a boy with green eyes, red hair and a fedora. He looked pretty worried.

''Oh your awake thank god, I saw that you were unsteady on your feet then you almost fell down the stairs after passing out, I managed to catch you in time though are you feeling okay? Whats your name?'' you smiled to him, not a fake smile but a genuine smile, he smiled back and helped you to your feet making sure you were steady before letting you go and handing you your books.

''I'm alright now, thank you very much for saving if you hadn't happened to be here that could have ended badly for me, anyway my name is (y/n). And what might your name be do I get to know the name of my knight in shining armor?'' he chuckled at your comment then looked at you smirking, he tipped his fedora and bowed slightly (like a prince would),

''My name is Laito m'lady, I am glad to see that such a pretty lady like yourself is unharmed'' you giggled, you hadn't had this much flirting with anyone in a long time, they would normally always say the same old, cliched stuff and be serious about things but this guy played along and made it fun maybe you could trust this guy, after all he did just save your life,

''It is a pleasure to meet you Laito-kun, question how would you feel to graduate from a knight to a prince? In other words do you wanna be friends?'' you said giggling, Laito chuckled and took your hand in his,

''It would be an honor m'lady to be friends with such a beautiful and charming young lady, now allow me to escort you to the cafeteria it appears that you need some food in your body otherwise you may pass out again'' you couldn't stop giggling this guy was really funny and knew how to bring out your true smile, you bowed a little as he took your hand. He reached over and took the books out of your hand before leading you down the stairs. 

You were a little surprised no one had ever offered to carry your books before and in fact he didn't offer he just took them out of your hand and started to lead you carefully down the stairs, you were so surprised you couldn't say anything all you could do was just stare at him as you walked down the stairs, he seemed to have noticed as he turned around and looked at you he smirked and continued to lead you to the cafeteria,

''I don't want to you to over exert yourself bitch-chan considering you just woke up after passing out so allow me this once to assist you'' he said still smirking back at you. Bitch-chan? You had never been called that before at least never been called it and had it mean a good thing you smirked back at him,

''very well Laito-kun you are granted permission this once'' he smirked again and lead you to an empty table helping you sit down and placing your books next to you then walked over to the order shelve, he came back a minuet later with a tray filled with fruit and placed in front of you before sitting down next to you.

''How did you know I was a vegetarian?'' You said slightly impressed, he shrugged his shoulders, 

''I dunno you just looked like you weren't the type to eat meat, at least very much of it'' you smiled and handed him an apple and began to eat some grapes, he looked confused but took it and started to eat it, he much have noticed that you didn't know how else to thank him. After the bell wen't you said goodbye to Laito and headed to class,

'You know I like having a friend it feels really nice, Laito huh? My first friend I hope we can hang out again soon coz he was really fun'.
