Meeting Him: Shu

You were in music class your favorite class in all of night school, you were the top female in the class and you were proud of your ability to play the flute. You were of course good at other things like piano, acoustic guitar and voice but the flute was your favorite thing to play because it was quiet, comforting and just all round a beautiful sounding instrument.

The teacher had told you that today you would all be paired with someone in the class to play a song together with them along with your teacher playing piano as a back up instrument. You sighed at this no one in the class played an instrument that would go well with your flute they all played electric guitar and base ect.

''(Y/N)-san and Shu-san you will be paired so please come up here and take your sheet music'' your teacher said, you jumped slightly but picked up your flute case and walked to the front of the class, who on earth was Shu? You had never met this person before in fact you never knew anyone with that name was even in your class. You stood next to the piano and took your sheet music from your teacher skimming over it quickly when a tall boy with blonde hair and ocean blue eyes stood beside you putting a case onto the floor and reading over his own sheet music.

After a couple of minuets you put down the sheet and pulled out your flute the boy named Shu did the same and when you looked up you saw that he was holding a violin in his hands, he looked down to you and smiled when he saw your flute, you returned his smile and walked to the front of the piano with him and readied your instruments.

''Are you both ready?'' your teacher asked you looked to one another once again and nodded, smiling as you answered your teacher,

''Hai Sensei'' you said together. You looked out to the class and saw that everyone was staring at you both in anticipation and curiosity. You shrugged off your class mates strange looks and started to play along with your teacher letting yourself get caught up in the music,

You played with your whole heart making sure not to miss a single note, as Shu started to play you instantly fell in love with the way he played he was fluent and delicate, never missing a single note. It was a short piece but your instruments merged together perfectly and the outcome was a beautiful and gentle song. 

Once you had finished playing the bell went for 4th period you sighed it was algebra your worst subject. The other students all left the room with the teacher and the only people left in the room was you and Shu,

''hey, you play really well. I never knew you played the flute, what was your name again?'' you heard a deep voice say behind you, you turned around to see Shu staring at you whist packing away his violin. You smiled and walked over to him,

''Thank you, you are a very good player too the violin is a wonderful instrument to play. I'm (Y/n) nice to meet you... uh sorry I forgot your name'' you said a little embarrassed he smiled at you a little

''Shu, and yeah nice to meet you too and thanks I love the violin but I really like the flute too'' you smiled back at him as you walked out of the class together you sighed and started to walk slower. You really didn't want to go to algebra you were so embarrassingly bad at it better to just never go than to go and make a complete fool of yourself. To your surprise Shu had slowed down too... why?

''What are you in next? Your walking pretty slow for someone who has a class next'' he said smirking down to you slightly you looked away and came to a stop, he stopped too and turned around to face you, you sighed again and then looked up into his eyes.

''Algebra, but I am so bad at it like so bad if I spoke I would get laughed at so I really don't want to go, I normally just ditch algebra and sit in a quiet room by myself until next period or lunch. What about you huh? You were also walking pretty slow for a guy with class'' you said smirking slightly he looked to you and ran his hand through his hair in annoyance,

''Athletics, but I can't be bothered going I hate sports I'd rather just sleep. I normally just don't go I go to the music room and sleep on the couch in there instead, its better and quieter'' You giggled slightly and started to walk again but instead of walking up the stairs to the algebra wing you made a sharp turn right and entered an empty, dark room.

Shu was confused as to what you were doing but he decided to follow you inside making sure to close the door behind him. You walked over to the corner of your room and placed your flute case down before spinning around slightly, you stretched your arms above your head and fell backwards onto the couch tucking your arms in behind your head. Shu walked over to you and placed down his violin case,

''uh (y/n)? What are you doing I thought you had algebra to go to'' he stated smugly you just opened your eyes and looked up into his deep blue ones slightly annoyed,

''uhhhh give me a break, screw algebra. I was up all day practicing and never got a wink of sleep so I'm gonna stay right here and catch up on a few z's before lunch. My class is so loud and obnoxious anyway especially with that loud mouth Ayato who doesn't even try to answer correctly'' he looked surprised slightly but smirked again and walked to the couch across the room and lay down on it.

''Ha shame for you, Ayato is one of my little brothers so I know how he can be. I'm the eldest of 6 so my house can get pretty loud with just us 6 boys in the house'' You looked over to him with wide eyes, he just chuckled at your face then looked to the ceiling,

''what about you any annoying siblings who make way too much noise'' You looked away from him hiding the look of anguish and hatred on your face before you started to speak,

''no I just live with my father I'm an only child'' you said with as normal of a voice as you could manage you didn't want to stay on the subject of your family any longer so you thought of a way to change the subject then it hit you, you looked back over to Shu smirking,

''so since you followed me in here and you haven't left yet I'm guessing you wanna be friends?'' he looked over at your words and chuckled,

''yeah I guess you could say that we have a lot in common we both like music, we are good at quiet instruments, we are both the top in our music class and we prefer to sleep through our worst subjects so why not. You wanna be my friend?'' you softened your smirk into a smile and looked out of the windows at the starry night sky,

''yeah you seem like a pretty cool guy so why not. Anyway lets get some sleep before lunch that's the whole reason we came here in the first place'' Shu just nodded and fell asleep, you put on your headphones and played some music on your phone before also falling asleep. 

'Shu huh? I guess this will turn out to be a very interesting friendship'
