Chapter 43

Ms. James: okay take 5 minutes ! Nicki and Kaeleb here now please

Nicki and Kaeleb made their way off of the stage and over to Ms. James.

She took them away from the rest of the class and into and empty class room.

Ms. James: what's going on you two

Neither answered.

Ms. James: the first show is tonight you're both playing up. I didn't give you the roles of Romeo and Juliet for you to show me up. Some of the people in the chorus are performing better than you. There is going to be directors and high class managers at this show and you're playing up. Both of you get you act together

With that she walked out leaving Nicki and Kaeleb alone in the room. Just seconds after she walked out nicki passed out and luckily Kaeleb caught her. Just then drake walked in looking for her.

Drake: what happened

Kaeleb: I don't know. She just fainted. Wait here with her and I'll get the nurse.

Drake went and knelt by nickis side. He took off his jacket and used it to keep her warm. They had now drawn a small crowd standing outside the classroom. She woke up just before the nurse got there.

Drake: nicki

He held her hand. She looked around a bit confused at what was going on.

Drake: it's okay. You just fainted

She held on a little tighter to his hand and he kissed hers. The nurse then walked in. Drake went to get up but she wouldn't let go of his hand and he could tell she didn't want him to leave her.

The nurse just did a few checks making sure she was okay and was on her way as nicki had said she was feeling fine.

She was now sat on one of the chairs in the classroom with drake next to her.

Drake: are you okay

Nicki: yeah I'm fine

She took his hand into hers and smiled at him.

Drake: you ready to go back and continue with rehearsals ?

Nicki: yeah

Drake: come on then

They both got up

And made their way back to the theatre...

They had just finished the first show of Romeo and Juliet. The whole cast was back stage.

Ms. James: that was amazing. All of you did absolutely amazing well done. You can all go and mingle out there with the directors and managers and we'll get ready for tomorrow show.

Nicki went and got changed into a more comfortable dress than the huge old fashioned one he was wearing. She then made her way out to the hall. She walked in and the first person she saw was Lani. Lani ran over to her and gave her a hug

Lani: omg nic. You were amazing ! How did you keep the accent and not get distracted

Nicki: it's all about acting skills

They laughed.

Nicki: where's Kai

Lani: he's somewhere with drake

Nicki: ah okay

A man in a suit then came up to nicki and Lani.

Mr. Harrison: hello there. I believe you played Juliet
