Like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich,

We blended in true and well.

I provided the nuttiness,

The sweet, electric taste of madness,

Sprinkled with excitement and delight.

You drowned me in your sugar,

In your overwhelming sweetness that seemed

To conquer many a heart a time.

We were so different that we became

Truly one and the same.

I taught you to act a little

Crazy.

Be a little

Insane?

WHY TALK ALL PROPER

WHEN THE RIGHT TO TALK BELONGS

TO YOU?

And you mellowed me down,

Fed me a spoonful of artificial sugar that left

Me shivering past twilight.

Made my teeth

Sparkle?

And I learned that laughing

Wasn't really as horrible as

People made it to be.

But as soon as we begun

And as soon as our hearts mingled,

We only did just realize.

The bread had been moldy to begin with.
