I wake up and I see Alex sleeping peacefully next to me. I move the hair from her face and I play with it a little bit. How could anyone want to hurt her? I sigh, at least she is happy now.

The second I step on the floor to get out of bed I get flooded with mind links. I guess people have questions. I sigh. I see Alex jump and I guess she is hearing them too. I mind link everyone to ask their questions later.

I jump back into bed now that Alex is awake and I give her a light kiss.

"Morning." I say and she gives me I small smile. She sits up and stretches, as her arms spread so do her wings. With the light spilling into the room from the window behind her she looks like a Phoenix.

"Morning to you too." She says and she rubs her eyes as her wings retract.

We get ready and walk hand in hand to the common room. I see Shane and Brandon playing pool so I join them. Alex sits in the beanbag chair and reads. I smile but it doesn't last long, people from all ranks of the pack one in and ask us questions.

Who met the moon goddess?

What does she look like?

What powers does Alex have?

When will we be able to tell others?

Why can't we tell anyone?

Can I get a ride?

Are we in danger?

All these questions and more flood us. My head spins and me and Alex are pushed outside by the questions. When we get to the pool side I get annoyed.

"Enough!" I shout and instantly everyone is silenced.

"One at a time and calmly." Alex says and I hold her hand, she is becoming a really good alpha.

Once everyone is satisfied with our answers to the copious amount of questions it is many hours later. We have a late lunch and as we eat Jade seems to notice something.

"Where's Ray?" She asks. Brandon looks away from Shane and coughs.

"Umm, I think she is... Swimming, yes, swimming." He says and jade sighs and stands.

"See you later." She says sadly and slightly annoyed. She walks swiftly away. I quickly follow her.

"Where are you going? What's wrong?" I ask.

"The moon goddess spoke to me. She is out of pack territory and is near danger. I'm getting her back." She says and I stop her from walking and I make her look at me.

"Thats not it. Come on, tell me." I say.

"The questions they were asking, most didn't bother me but everyone asked if we were safe, I just hate the fact that me being this way makes our pack scared of danger, and rightly so." She says and I hold her close to me. After a while she talks again.

"The Ray situation is true though. I need to go." She says. I nod and just as we are gone she looks at her wrist.

"I felt something. She is in trouble." She says.

"Come on we'll run." I say quickly.

"No time, it's too far. I'll have to fly." She says and her wings appear and she is instantly flying.

"Get some men ready, just in case." She says as she soars away.

Jade

I fly the fastest I've ever flown and I track Ray down, she is chained to a tree in ripped clothing and her mouth covered. I land and I see her jump. She shakes her head violently. Before I can move darkness covers me.
