Fredericksburg, VA

They pulled it.

Tears.

Everyone was crying.

Except for me.

I wouldn't accept it. She wasn't dead. She was...sleeping.

I was the only one still in the room.

I held her hand and smiled. "You're fine Sailor. You're just Sleeping Beauty." I laughed quietly. "She was your favorite."

I looked back up at the monitor that had turned into a straight line.

I sighed, giving up on acting like this and slammed my head down.

This was it. She was gone.

I stared down at her kissing her cheek and finally letting go.

I didn't just her let go of her hand, but was trying to let go of everything in that very moment.

As I was turning, I saw something strange out of the corner of my eye.

The monitor.

I swung back around, staring at it.

It was slowly moving again.

No, there must have been a mistake.

I watched it for a few more seconds to see if my mind was playing tricks on me.

No, it was definitely moving.

It was a miracle.

"Hailey?"

Her hand twitched and a small groan left her lips.

She's back, she's fucking back.

A huge smile spread across my face.

"Sailor, I'll be right back. Stay strong for me. You can do it." I whispered in her ear, before running out of the room to find a doctor.

Hailey

I been sleeping off and on, hearing muffled voices around me. I heard my name a couple times but chose to ignore it. A few hour later, I woke up and stayed awake.

"Hailey?"

I looked to in the direction of the voice to see Jasmine, my mom, and four boys standing over me.

I looked at them a little closer and realized they were a band called 5 seconds of summer.

"What are you guys doing here?" I asked excitedly.

"You woke up Sailor." Calum grinned, getting up and holding my hand.

"Oh, um I think you got the wrong room. My name's Hailey."

He laughed and sat back down. "Very funny."

"What do you mean very funny?" I frowned. "My name's Hailey. I don't know who Sailor is but it's not me."

I noticed all of their eyes widen with horror, confusing me further.

"You don't remember?" Michael asked, giving me hopeful eyes.

"Remember what?" I muttered. "Mom what's going on? Where's dad?"

She stared at me for a few seconds and turned to everyone else. "Do kids mind leaving the room? I need to talk to her."

Everyone shuffled out of the door except for Calum. He stayed seated, looking at me completely heartbroken.

Mom sighed. "You too Calum."

"But Brooke I need to-"

"Calum please." She mumbled.

He nodded, looking at me again, before rushing out of the door.

"Mom what's going on? Why are they here and-"

"Hailey let me explain everything to you, okay?"

So apparently, I had severe memory lost.

And I'd forgotten the last two years of my life.

Great -_-

For hours, everyone tried bringing my remembrance back but I just didn't remember anything.

I didn't remember talking to Calum.

I didn't remember my mom learning how to cook.

I didn't remember my own father dying.

I didn't remember how I almost fucking died.

Calum seemed the most hurt about this. My mom had told me we were dating before everything happened.

"Wait so why do you call me Sailor again?" I asked.

"It's just a nickname. Nothing special." He mumbled.

"Oh, ok." I felt hurt by his comment and went back to talking to Jasmine.

"I think I'm gonna leave." He said, standing up. "Bye Sailor."

I didn't reply.

"Bye Sailor!" He repeated a little louder.

I remembered that that was what he called me. "Oh I'm sorry. Bye Calum."

Okay but at least I wasn't that asshole who killed her off?
