Did my heart love till now? Forswear it, sight: For I ne'er saw true beauty till this night.

Parties were never my thing and I tried to avoid them as much as possible but somehow I let my friends persuade me into going to one tonight. We arrived at the venue of the party, it was a huge mansion. It looked as though royals lived here, it made my house look like a dump. Before entering the party my friends and I messed around a bit as we stumbled to the door, shoving each other, putting each other in headlocks. Then finally we entered the party after blowing off some anxious tension of coming to a party uninvited.

The amount of people was insane but it didn't look like there was a lot due to how massive it was inside. I stood in the entrance in awe of the decor and attendants that just stood around catering to everyone's needs.

"Whose party is this anyway?" I asked.

"Its some girl's birthday party." One of my friends said as he began walking away.

I chose not to follow and began to explore on my own. I passed the beverage table and saw that there were many people of whom I knew. They were drunkily hitting on girls or vice versa. I sauntered past the makeshift dance floor and made my way to the back of the house.

If this was a girl's birthday party, where was she? And who we she? My eyes searched groups of partygoers then near the back of the house, I found her.

She looked too innocent to be having a party of this manner but she seemed to be having fun. I knew she was the birthday girl by the amount of people coming up to her as they entered and wishing her a happy birthday.

Our eyes met momentarily, it was she who glanced away first. I was captivated by her beauty and when our eyes met again, I felt like I could confess my love for her right then and there.

I aimlessly walked over to her.

"Hi." I greeted with a charming smile.

"Hello." She answered in a sweet voice.

Her voice was intoxicating. Without thinking, I reached out, took her hand in mine and placed a small kiss on her knuckles, never once breaking eye contact. A light blush rose to her cheeks.

"Who are you?" She asked still holding my hand.

"Shawn." I answered.

Her smile faltered at the mention of my name but then she regained her posture.

"Dance with me, Shawn."

We danced, talked and laughed but our time was cut short when I was pulled away by my friends and they tugged me towards the door. I stole a quick glance back at her and saw that, she too, was being whisked away by someone. A guy that she seemed to know.

"Who is she?" I questioned aloud.

"Oh, only the daughter of your Father's enemy."
