"I haven't sang this one in awhile, so lets see if I remember it." I chuckled as I sat on my stool. I adjusted my guitar and started strumming.
"I watch your troubled eyes as you rest and I fall in love with ever breath..."
I kept singing until something caught my eye off stage. My little four-year-old daughter Ariel, was waving to me and pointing me out to my lovely wife. I stopped singing before the second verse. "I'll be right back."
I hopped off the stool and ran off stage to her.
"Daddy!" She yelled running into my arms. I picked her up and kissed her cheek.
"Daddy, I know the sing your singing. You sing it to me before bed!" She said smiling.
"Do you want to come sing it with me?" I asked her. Her eyes lit up and she nodded. I carried her back onstage with me. The stage crew brought another stool and mic for her. I sat her down and began where I left off.
"You keep on telling me I'm wasting time. But to call it wasting time oh that's a crime..."
Ariel glanced at me as she sang then to the crowd. They all loved her. I closed the show with me and her singing and carried her off.
"Mommy! Did you see me? Did you hear me sing with daddy?" She asked excitedly.
"Yes I did baby. You sing just like daddy." Y/n replied kissing her cheek.
"I wanna be like daddy when I grow up. Daddy?" I looked at her tearing up.
"Yes princess?"
"Will you teach me how to sing?" She asked.
That made my heard explode with Daddy-feels. "Yes I will muffin. Anything for you."
Ariel wiped my tears away and hugged me tightly. "I'm glad you're my daddy. I wouldn't want anyone other than you. I love you."
Both Y/n and I were crying at her words. "I love you too princess."
