-Your POV-
"And that was Thinking Out loud by Ed Sheeran! Now the next song is by an up and coming artist by the name of Shawn Mendes! Here's his new song Stitches!" I grabbed my towel, drying myself off. "Enough of this song already." I mumbled to myself, while shutting off my radio. Its been almost 1 year since I've spoken to Shawn. The last time I said a word to him was when I told him I loved him. A week after that incident, my family decided to move to California. I wasn't upset to leave. I was actually happy to leave. Screw this place! I thought. But these past months have been hard. I feel like I never got away from Shawn. He's famous now and as hard as I try to get over him I can't! And I feel like the world isn't on my side for this battle.
Today my mom was taking me out to lunch to meet up with her friend from Canada. She wouldn't tell me who it was and by now I was getting really suspicious. I got dressed in some shorts, a crop top, and some sneakers. (Media). I wasn't really big on makeup, so I just put on some foundation, mascara and ChapStick. "Y/n? Are you ready?" My mom called. I grabbed my bag and ran downstairs. "Yeah!"

-Skip The Car Ride-

We took our seat at the restaurant and waited. "She said She's almost here." My mom said. "Okay that gives me enough time to use the bathroom. Will you order me a lemonade if I'm not back by then?" She nodded and I made my way to the bathroom. After I did my business, I walked back to my table only to see two new people there. I took my seat and looked at the person seated across from me. It was Shawn. "Hey Y/n! Its Shawn and Karen!" My mom smiled. "Wonderful!" I replied faking smile. "Hey Y/n, how are you?" Shawn asked. I put my menu up to hide my face. "Good, and you?" I refused to look at him. "Well, I miss my best friend!" He chuckled. Why was he acting as though nothing happened between us? "Oh, what happened to Riley? Did she move also?" Two can play at this game. "Not her. You."

-Skip Lunch-

"Shawn and I have a couple more hours to kill, why don't we do a bit of shopping?" Shawn's mom asked. My mom agreed. Now here I was waiting outside a store. I felt a presence beside me. "Y/n?" Shawn spoke. My eyes didn't leave my phone. "Yes?" He cleared his throat. "I'm really sorry about last year. I should have said something, I should have stopped you from leaving." Shaking my head, I finally faced him. "You couldn't have stopped me from moving." Now he was the one that wouldn't make eye contact. "That's not what I meant. I should have stopped you from leaving the library. The truth is... I was afraid." His hand brushed mine gently. "Of what Shawn?" I waited a moment. "Of saying: I loved you back. I never said those words to Riley and now that I've seen you today. I finally realized that, I've always loved you." He took my hand in his. "Shawn-"
"Please Y/n? I can't lose you again." His eyes still wouldn't meet mine. I pulled his chin up so he would look at me. "Shawn you never lost me." Shawn gently placed a kiss on my lips. I've waited for this for too long.
