A/n:omg I was at a family party! And my cousin is a DJ and asked if anyone wanted to do karaoke so I volunteered! I sang 2 Shawn songs and it was amazing! Omg I'm a family celebrity. So yeah have an imagine.
"And next up we have Y/n singing Stitches!" The MC said before handing the microphone over. It was karaoke night at the small cafe near my house.
I cleared my throat and waited for the beat to count me in.
"I thought that I've been hurt before... But no one's ever left me quite this sore..."
I finished singing and the cafe erupted in cheers. "Give it up for Y/n! Wow I think she has some potential don't you guy think?" The announcer asked. The crowd cheered in agreement.
I thanked them all again and got off the fake stage. I made my way over to the counter and ordered a lemonade as I listened to the other singer.
"Uhm..excuse me?" I turned to the deep voice and my heart dropped. It was Shawn Mendes. I just sang one of his songs! He was wearing a jacket with the hood up and some fake glasses. If he was trying to disguise himself he wasn't doing a very good job at it.
"Yes?" I replied. A lopsided grin played on his face.
"You have a very beautiful voice." He complimented. I bit my lip and looked away slightly. Shawn Mendes was complimenting me! Omg Y/n play it cool!! I thought.
"Thanks. Do you want to sit down?" I asked motioning to the empty seat next to me. He nodded and sat down.
"Sorry I didn't introduce myself. I'm Shawn..wait..you probably already know that since you sang my song..." He rambled shaking his head in embarrassment.
"It's okay Shawn. I'm Y/n." We shook hands.
"I really think you could make a career out of singing. Have you ever thought about it?" He inquired. I nodded in response.
"Actually I have but I haven't had any luck with agents or any labels wanting to pick me up." I sighed. His eyes widened.
"Let me introduce you to Andrew!" He exclaimed. "Are you free tomorrow?" He added.
"Y-yeah..but why do you want to help me? You just met me? And you never know I might be a crazed fan and try to kill you!" I joked. He chuckled slightly.
"I trust you. And believe me Y/n, you have talent that should be shared with the world!" I couldn't just let this opportunity pass me. So I agreed.
