Shawn and Taylor were downstairs playing FIFA. I, on the other hand was putting last minute decorations on the wall of Jack's nursery. I was sticking the last music note decal on the wall when something warm dripped down my legs. Staring down at the puddle, a shooting pain ran through my body.
"S-Shawn!" I yelled as I clenched my huge stomach. I heard two pairs of footsteps running upstairs. Shawn opened the door. "The b-baby is coming!" I said as calm as I could. Taylor looked a little freaked out but eventually helped me downstairs as Shawn grabbed the babybag and his keys.
"Dude let me drive." Taylor said taking Shawn's keys. We all settled in the car and drove to the hospital.
Seven hours of painful labor later and finally mine and Shawn's son was here. Jack Peter Mendes. He weighed 6 pounds and 8 ounces. He was super tiny. Shawn and I couldn't be happier.
-2 Years Later-
The small patter of footsteps awoke me. I sat up and looked at Shawn, who was still sound asleep. Our bedroom door opened, revealing our two-year-old son;Jack. He ran over to me and climbed into my arms. The clock on the wall read 2:45 am. Slowly rocking him back and forth, I shook Shawn awake.
"Huh?" He mumbled groggily. "He climbed out if his crib again." I stifled a yawn. Jack began to whimper. "Mommy.."
"Shh baby." I cooed, kissing his head. Shawn crawled closer to us and wrapped us both in his arms. "He's getting to that phase where he doesn't want to sleep in his bed." He mumbled against my shoulder. He stared down at his son, who was now falling asleep in my arms. We both yawned.
" I guess he's sleeping with us tonight." Shawn said as he laid back down with us still in his arms. "I'm okay with that." I replied stroking Jack's light brown hair.
"I love you both so much." Shawn said falling back to sleep.
"I love you guys too." I whispered admiring my little family.
