Kai sunk into the warm water, and let out a calm murr of contentment. It's been a while since she had a nice bath, and it felt great.

Chysolite yawned from across the Fox, splashing a bit as she stretched. Her horns were no longer on her head, like they had simply vanished because she willed them to.

"It's still weird to bathe with someone else." Kai noted.

"I can be quiet if you want." The Zealot answered with a laugh.

"You? Quiet? Impossible." Kai scoffed.

"Jeez, you're embracing your red head-ness now." Chysolite scoffed.

Kai growled and kicked out her leg, catching Chysolite in the stomach getting her to whine.

"Oww!" The Zealot growled.

"As far as I can tell, my hair is still white." Kai answered.

"Are you blind or something?!"

The Zealot received another kick to the stomach.

"I don't beat you up! Why are you hitting me?!"

"You bully me in other ways." Kai answered.

There was a knock at the door and Kai's ears turned towards it. "Kai, the ceremony is in a few hours, you two need to get ready." Akeno's voice called.

"We just got in." Chysolite whined.

"Sorry girls. But it has to be today."

"We'll be ready." Kai answered. "Don't worry about it."

She heard Akeno laugh from the other side of the door before walking away.

"We should hurry." Kai smiled softly.

"It's your big day." Chysolite returned the smile.

"Our day." Kai corrected.

Chysolite frowned a bit. "Are you sure? You could die."

"I won't die." Kai answered. "I'll be fine. Trust me."

"Kai... I can't loose you again." Chysolite admitted.

"You won't. I promise." Kai answered as she held out her hand towards the Zealot who took her hand and moved over beside the fox.

"I'll never forgive you if you break that promise."

"I won't." Kai nodded. "So..."

"Hmm?"

"How old are you?" Kai questioned.

"Dunno." Chysolite shrugged.

"I figured as much." Kai smirked. "You were Ragnarok's first Zealot weren't you?"

"More or less."

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"I don't know. I just... didn't want anyone to know."

"But you claim the right of High Zealot all the time."

"Doesn't mean people know what it is." Chysolite answered. "Only other Zealots do, and even then, we don't see them enough for it to be brought up in discussion."

"They don't praise you?"

"Why would they?" Chysolite raised an eyebrow.

"You're the first Zealot."

"So? We all have the same powers as Zealots."

"But Zealots get stronger with age."

"While that's also true, Zealot's aren't allowed to fight each other. So they can't exactly test their strength against each other."
