Shopping with Matthew is an adventure. The boy has mad fashion taste to wear black and white...all the time.

"Babe, I was thinking gold and black." I said as he looked into space with no care whatsoever.

"Yeah cool." I groaned at his response. "No, cool? I need words like "love it" or "hell no" come on. Please put on a smile for me." I said grabbing his arm.

"Okay, everybody's going to be wearing gold and black. It's basic, even though you'd look fly as hell in a trash bag. Let's spice it up. Out of the box." He said back and I squeezed his biceps.

"I love it when you talk clothes to me." I said to him and he laughed.

We searched and searched until I laid eyes on perfection put into a dress. I pulled Matthew over hurriedly. I could see the irritation on his face.

"My baby bout to be sexy." He said making me blush. "You have to find a suit that matches this." I told him as I drooled over it.

"Okay, can we go now?" He asked in a rush. "Why?" I asked.

"So I can spoil you like a normal guy does to a pretty pretty girl." He said making me blush again. "What happened to not wasting the money?" I asked and he looked at me.

"I have my own money. That's just a plus." I laughed and shook my head at him. "You amaze me, but what girl gives up a shopping spree."

"A stupid one, apparently." He said to me and I laughed.

"Matthew Su...to the office." The clerk said through the door. I jumped up in a hurry. Ms. Roe is literally the worst teacher ever I'd do anything to get out her class.

I strolled nonchalantly to the office stopping for a sip of the public trash, that they love to call water. The principal was waiting on me.

"Summers, have a seat." He said straightening his jacket. "What's up?" I asked and he sighed. We'd become very used to seeing each other over the years. He'd caught a few blows to his head from me while trying to break up fights.

"I tried calling your parents, do you know where they are or if they can come up here?" He asked and I shook my head.

"That's not a option. They're dead to me." I said as serious as possible. Principal Scott just nodded, knowing not to ask any questions.

"Okay, well uhm I'm afraid you won't be graduating this year." He said to me and I never thought I'd care, but my spit got caught in my throat.

"What?" I said and he explained. "You haven't completed the necessary  assignments. Your trip across the country didn't just get rid of assignments. They just stacked up. Your behavior is off the charts. Your teachers say your rude and even though you somehow pass their classes exceptionally we can't push you out until you complete all 120 assignments in the next week." He said and I slammed my fist down.

"You do understand how fucking stupid that is, right? You're giving me one week to complete 120 assignments and I've been home for weeks. Yeah, that makes absolute sense." I said to him walking out, grabbing my bag and leaving the school building before I bashed his face in. Again.

"Where the hell did you go?" I asked him irritated as he pulled up 45 minutes after I called him.

"Away from here." He said harshly unlocking the door. "What the hell?! You can't just leave me stranded." I said and he sighed.

"I'm not graduating." He said and I laughed. "Yes, you are. I told you I was dragging your stubborn ass across the stage." I said.
