Micky shakily slipped the ring on his finger. It shimmered in the light and he stared at it for a long time.

Then he went to the kitchen, grabbed the gun, and walked to the cemetery. Mike was buried there for real now.

Micky sat down on the grave and gently ran his fingers over the words carved into Mike's headstone. "I love the ring," he whispered.

Micky loaded the gun and this time, his hands weren't shaking. He took a deep breath and looked at Mike's headstone again.

"You promised me forever."
