20. Baekhyun - Ballet

*this sucks* baekhyun thinks. *i have to do ballet with the lower class? wae. What did I do to deserve this?? I'm the best in the studio after all.*

Baekhyun walks into the classroom full of girls."Everyone. Let's welcome our top student, Baekhyun. He is here to help today." The teacher addresses. He shows a small smile and wave to the girls. From what he can see, all the girls are fawning over him already. He smirks, but his eyes land on you--the one that's unaffected. you were waiting for the teacher to give you instructions to start the last ballet bar exercise. Baekhyun walks over to use he bar space in front of you.

"Hi." He speaks to you."im baekhyun, as miss Ling already introduced."

On the outside, you were unaffected, but on the inside you were freaking out. You were never good at showing your emotions and when you did, thy came out wrong. You just smile back at him.

"And what's your name?" He whispers.

You don't turn your head and whisper back "_____" the teacher was giving out instructions.

Miss Ling claps her hands. "Okay class. We are going to work on leaps with a partner today. Because we get the special chance to work with Baekhyun today."

All the girls but you start squealing and looking dreamily at baekhyun.

"Girls start from the corner. Let's see what you've got. Gallop, step step, grand je'te (gallop, take 2 steps, then do a big leap across the floor). Go."

5 girls go before you leap. You prepare to jump. You replay the leap and steps in your head.

"5-6-7-8"

Miss ling cues you to start. You gallop with your feet pointed. You step twice with your arms still. Finally the leap. You jump in the air and extend your legs. You were the most flexible after all so you were in your splits. You smile at the teacher, who was your audience. You land perfectly with no thump.

You go to the back of the room with everyone else who has leaped once. After everyone finishes leaping across the floor, Miss Ling pulls baekhyun to the side.

"Who was the best?"

Baekhyun whispers into Miss Ling's ear. She nods and both come back towards the dancers. The clock dings. Class was over.


"Sorry class! Time to go. Baekhyun is here next week so we can do leaps next week." A chorus of moans echoes in the studio. The girls leave. "______" you stop and turn around.

"Yes Miss Ling?" You walk back towards her and baekhyun.

"Would you like to be baekhyun's duet partner for the recital? You're going to have to work hard. The recital is in 2 weeks. Because Charlotte hurt broke her leg, she can't be Baekhyun's partner. don't worry. You're good and you pick up choreography easily."

"Okay."

"Great!" miss ling is really excited. "Okay practice for you and baekhyun is tomorrow from 5-8pm at this studio. Let baekhyun show you some moves now so we can get the choreography down faster. See ya tomorrow!" miss ling exits the room.

"So let's start." Baekhyun grabs your waist. You tense up and you start to blush. "I will hold your waist while you are leaping off the floor to make you look like you're flying. Got it?" you ignore him to try to make your cheeks cool down. baekhyun sees this and smiles. "_____-ah do you have a crush on me now?"

You look away. you couldn't avoid it. "So what if I do?"

"Good" baekhyun let's go of your waist. You turn around to stare in his eyes--searching for his answer.

"What?" you ask.

"I said good." He gently holds your shoulder. "Cuz I like you too." He leans in for a kiss and you panic, so you just close your eyes. It was your first kiss after all. The kiss...it felt so...right. Like it was meant to be. The awkwardness fades away and you start kissing back.
